For remember Israel were also part of the haters and persecutors of the disciples of Jesus.

Also do not forget Stephen who was stone to death by the Israelites for preaching the Gospel of Jesus, and a certain Saul an Israelite who consented to his death at the time, that was later confronted by Jesus who warned him against continuing with such.

So please explain how Jesus was meant Israel when He was saying this to His disciples?

The world hated Jesus because of His Words, so if you don't want to be hated by the world, dare not receive and keep His Words.

Because if you do, that would make the world to hate you just as it hated Jesus, because the Words of Jesus would make you not to be of the world just like Jesus who was not of the world but of the Kingdom of God.

Hence this Saying of Jesus:

26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

So you must count the cost before you proceed because this is a level where being hated by the world becomes the new norm.

We too are hated but certainly not by all men. I am emphasizing on the phrase, 'by all men'. Another verse says, 'by all nations'. (Matthew 12:9).

Israel will play a centre stage in world affair after the rapture. They will initially accept the false prophet also known as the second beast in Revelation 13 as their Messiah. But after three and a half years, he will set up an image in the temple as predicted by Daniel. It is at this point that the blindness which is currently plaguing Isreal will be removed and they will cry out to God for deliverance. All nations at this point under the reign of the anti Christ will hate Israel and will raise up a joint army to wipe them off. Just before they completely deal with Israel, Jesus will come back and defeat the anti Christ and the False Prophet. And Christ will establish his Millennium Reign on earth.

The point of emphasis in Jesus statement is 'hated of all men' or 'object of hatred by all races' Which couldn't be rightly applied in the case of one whose faith is not recognisable in other places apart from his neighbourhood {locality} where he practices his local religion!
This means a kind of faith that will be detestable from the standpoint of all people in different parts of the earth.
So if you don't belong to a renown GROUP whose norms are well known in every land wherever they could be found, then you're NOT one of those Jesus is referring to here! John 17:14-16

I fully understand that of Israel how they would suffer because they knew not the time of their visitation as Jesus Himself pointed out on this occasion when it was said:

So Israel's suffering is not the issue here, but Jesus was talking meant Israel when He said to His own disciples "ye shall be hated of all men for my name sake"?

For whatever Israel were going to suffer for, it was certainly not for His name sake, but for not knowing the time of their visitation.

And moreover Jesus was speaking to His disciples here, and also talked about their persecutions, betrayal by loved ones, death etc., because of Him.

The reason i'm insisting on this is because if Jesus says something, it's important we get the interpretation right otherwise it could prove very costly at the end.

There is no point to over flog this issue. When interpreting Scripture, we have to interpret it within context. Matthew 24 was an exposition on the events of the last days. But let's leave it here. The most important thing is to impact our world with the gospel so we can save more souls faster than the devil snatch them to hell.

It may surprise you that what you heard might even be the bitter truth that you have not heard from all other religious groups claiming Christians and due to that it will sound like a lie to you!
For instance, all Israelites have been taught by all the prophets from time immemorial that they should love those who love them and hate their enemies, this has been the teachings from all those sent by God. But imagine Jesus saying the same God sent him yet he said that idea is wrong from the perspective of his father and the irony of it is that Jesus claims no other person as his father but the same God!
So can you now blame those who said he has a demon? They even said he is an impostor and a LIAR simply because his teachings totally contradicts all that they knew before then!
Please let's share thoughts regarding what you've heard from any JW perhaps it is truly a lie or it is the bitter truth!
