Bamstar007: My guy.. I just pray no one fall again into UPS scam again.. What i notice is that, if you are sending documents to a friend in Germany that's where they have problem..UPS will lie to you that they went to the receiver's address but he/she is not at home, when they didn't leave there office.. It is so annoying when you pay that huge amount and they want you to make another payment telling one rubbish duty fees. They mumu to the extent that they won't call the receiver's number to know when he/she at home. At least, we know how deliveries are made here in Nigeria. They (UPS workers) collected my money at their Office here in Abeokuta but when i went to lament about what happened they were looking at me as if they are just seeing me for the first time. "UPS is a yahoo boy organization in disguise " Just Beware! 2 Likes 2 Shares |

@Kolombo88 The website of Rhine waal should have the answer to that your testas question. Except someone here applied for your same course that can share his/her experience. However, I know that Rhine Waal requires Testas for their MSc in Mechanical engineering and it was clearly stated there. So read up on the requirements of that particular course of interest. I'm sure it will be there stated if required. Cheers |

Tommynaku: Infact, I used UPS b4 what happened, just in space of a week i think..That was why I said the UPS workers know me.. Bamstar said it and I followed that up with my own experience too.. we are saying it now. I had to certify another set of documents and used DHL.. Thanks to the DHL boss that later offered me students discount. Bamstar and I are saying it so others won't fall victim. Chikena! 2 Likes 2 Shares |

dailydolar: What I think is happening with UPS is * If you are sending documents to a friend in Germany. With the receiver's address, name and phone number. They will still tell you the receiver is not at home when they went to make the delivery. Which is scam. * Sending to schools, I think that is safe.... |

Olinga: That is not possible. But you can use the land as a collateral to obtain loan. you can then service the loan - that is the interest and part of the lumpsum - monthly from your accrue Deutsch student job allowance & part of the remaining unspent monthly released fund from block account. 4 Likes 1 Share |

frankie2K: Really can't say but you have to write the exam only in Lagos with Goethe Institute that is if your choice of school requires German certificate either A1, A2 or B1. so the only recorganized certificate is Goethe. I have a friend I onistiathat came to Lagos for it because they only have one center in Nigeria which is Lagos. |

GREGORIAN: Truth is very few people on this thread have ideas about PhD. Majority are MSc and then some BSc... Just try and do a little research... Or hopefully someone with better idea will assist. SHALOM 1 Like |

GREGORIAN: Bro, from what I know, they have structured phd and research phd. The competition for PhD is super high and they need qualified person because you will be temporary employed to carry out your independent research and do 20-40% of work which may be in teaching or lab work. If you apply for structured PhD (the normal one without vacancy), you will have to submit along with you a research proposal, prof of previous academic qualifications and publications as well as funding for research. It's really tedious except you've been in the system. if you can still manage another Msc to increase your chance, I suggest you do. Or better still with your certification and experience, apply to xing.com and search for job directly without going for PhD. Just check the skill shortage to see if you're qualified. Ps: im in Nigeria and this is far as I know. You'll need to Google check yourself. Cheers 3 Likes 2 Shares |

DInkMan: This is so ridiculous I don't even know where to begin. No, I shall not bear with u. The fact that u don't even realise that a lot of people usually use "na wa oh" to express comic surprise is tragic. I certainly do. And so do most of the people I know. You should have waited for the person the smiley face was directed at to state if the emoji hurt her feelings or, perhaps, laugh about it before stepping in and being the unsolicited champion. Some of u don't even have any sense of humour and take life way too seriously. That second paragraph was totally unnecessary and makes your whole comment read like needless virtue signaling. Mr Education Portrayal, keep up the good work. I think we should all calm down on this thread. People are just getting itchy fingers and looking for who to call out. I have seen numerous cases where someone asks a question and the person gets attacked for hiding information without any knowledge of the history of the person, how much access the person has to the internet daily or whether the person is aware of the tacit rule to stick around and share information with us here. Make una dey take life jeje o. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Good day pals, please is there still hope for me in applying for an MSC program in, university of siegen, university of numberg, university of wurzburg, the deadline dates are drawing closer, I don't have my school transcript with me,I have applied for it.. but hopefully will get it by this june month end, and the deadline dates for this universities is July 15th... Please is there any hope Or is it better for me to wait till November for the summer application? 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Bamstar007: 6:49am On Jun 06, 2019 |
chrisaruwa:There is no harm in trying... and also believe all goes well (I know someone who got admission in August last year and still made it to Germany last winter) he resumed late though. In all honesty I dislike schools with late deadlines and no rolling admission (meaning they wait till after deadlines to give admission) Imagine they wait just 4 weeks after July 15 to give admission, that means mid August and you will resume in October. You can give it a try! If it’s your time, nothing can stop you My advice is look for easier schools, some schools give you admission immediately they get your documents and you meet the criteria (for open admission) and still apply to the schools you like so you can start visa processing as soon as possible 1 Like |
