Simon Moses excelled as a wing forward in training. Until they play him as a AM I think he will never achieve his full potentials. Simon Moses is not a traditional winger , I think he was born to play in the middle due to his ability to operate in small spaces, energy and discipline....Everything Iwobi lacks!

Yea I think he will excel as an attacking central midfielder (He doesn't have a defence splitting pass)

He doesn't even have blistering pace for a winger and his passes are very good, I see him as a Wilnaldium

He can play as a second striker but I doubt if he can play AMF.

An AM should be a good passer of the ball
someone that can comfortably link the midfield with the attack...

some one that can retain and release the ball quickly...when necessary.
some one that can give deadly pass and spot a striker well positioned from a distance....

that is an AM...

so can Moses Simon play this role?
the answer is NO..

until dem put am there now, and e no perform

I strongly believe that brother can excel in that position....think about it, he has the skill, the midfield energy requirements and can stay the course and highly disciplined. That nigga will run circles around Iwobi.....Its injustice to play Iwobi while Simon is on the bench. Its becoming clear Iwobi is gonna be another failed English groomed player.

This reads like you have an animosity towards English-groomed players, more than, a genuine acknowledgement of Nigerian groomed players.

Very distasteful for you to refer to Iheanacho as a scammer. He has done nothing to deserve such remark. I doubt Osimhen will get dropped.

How did you know Iwobi will fail?

I think the EPL doesn't suit his style. He should move to La Liga or Seria A.

he is...if he was really serious with scoring goals..he should have scored that goal against....man city....

I don't understand how rohr will trust a player who could miss a seater in the epl for the afcon job to deliver in goals.

Your first sentence is exactly why I think he doesn't fit the winger role and with what we are spoiled with right now with regards to wingers he will not cut it...Onyekuru, Samuel Kalu and Chukwueze..phew! Efe enyero.

And you are wrong about his passes. As a winger his crosses are questionable but he can run with the ball and play a decent low passes that can split defenses. Right now we dont know where the brother belong...wing forward ? winger ? left back ?

You have a point. Maybe, that is why Emery is thrilled with his style of play. Either way, Emery is brilliant and is doing a good job with Iwobi. I say Iwobi hangs on.

Oh please. Even Thierry Henry, Messi, CR7 and others missed good chances. It is football and I have not seen you calling any of the above scammers.

Did you see the glorious chance Pereyra of Watford missed in the FA Cup final? I guess you would call him a scammer. Or is that only for Iheanacho?

same player that stepped into the 10 (AM) role against Libya and RSA
same player that scored against Zambia in Lusaka.....

keep defending a player who care less about his career
I see him as a player who seeks to use afcon revive his career...

if he was really serious...he would done wonders for Leicester city this immediate past season...
he lacks motivation and ambition

Firstly, I dont like the country called england and queen eliza and their over-hyped players that never worth a sshhit. But I am neither sentimental nor bias....I am yet to see an English groomed player that blew my mind. I meant those who have played for Nigeria. From Abbey George, Sodje , Ekoku, etc.

It is not about me defending a player but you making a careless and insensitive remark against a hardworking man who has done nothing to you. This is a player since he was a kid at ten years was struggling with football to make a better life for him and his family. A national hero who has put smiles on millions of Nigerian faces.

Became a pride of the nation when he was excelling in Europe.

Only for you to call him a scammer and try to justify it by saying I am defending him.

Nacho is not a scammer. If you want to continue that way, you are free.

It is not easy to do wonders at Leicester City when a brilliant striker like Jamie Vardy is ahead of him. Was Osimhen not having difficulties with Mario Gomez and later Origi ahead of him? Did that mean Osimhen was a scammer then?

So, because he scored one or two goals we should fry water? As far as GWG is concerned Alexander Iwobi is a fraud. And if he continue to be unserious like his uncle he will end up worse.

He can stay as long as he's wanted but I think he is a skillful player who needs freedom to express himself like his uncle.

Anyway, no problem he stays with Emery.

Etebo right from his time with Warri Wolves when Sunday Mbah was still there has never played as a midfielder. It was a support striker or winger.

You are blinded by the few flashes of excellence you see in him. Since Mike and Iwobi have played that role what came of it? Don't act like you dont know neither Mikel nor Iwobi is an AM.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Earthquake2: 10:56pm On Jun 06, 2019
I think Simon Moses should transfer to midfield he has the energy and can pass the ball better than Etebo

Cc Omabala being able to pass and having the creativity to split defences are two different things and Moses is not blessed with such

I would prefer him in midfield to Etebo though

quite heavy words.

Iwobi is no more a fraud than the likes of Kelechi, Ighalo at one time, and to be sincere, even this Moses Simon fella.

The way you're slating this boy, I get the feeling it is simply because of his British ties that you're coming at him like this, keep this same energy for the naija bred guys that are missing crucial goals at crunch matches
