Morning fam. Pls for those of us that added our spouse post PPR or COPR, was your spouse required to complete biometrics? This wasn't stated on the request letter I got. We're wondering if to pay for biometrics now, while paying for RPRF/application fee, hence the question.

Pls note that some people I asked on the Canada visa thread, confirmed their added spouse didn't complete biometrics, even though they had never done one before. Need to confirm with naija peeps. Thanks.

Hi, Did you end up paying for biometrics with the RPRF/Application fee?

Well didn't have a problem booking for a doctor when I landed and I landed pregnant almost same time. You need to first get registered with a family doctor which is not hard to get I could recommend one for you. But you need your health card to get booked in by your family doctor which you get upon landing . Your family doctor then goes ahead to get you an obstetrician which you will be seeing till you give birth and probably birth your baby . Wasn't so hard anyways I will say land first then you take care of the remaining things.

Thank you for your response.. I would appreciate your recommendation.. are you in Calgary?

Calgary, NE registries Taradale, Driver's knowledge test:

Cost was 18.10 with payment by debit card. Presented PR card, health care card and statement mailed me by my bank. Was directed to a computer, turned off my phone and put I the basket beside the computer. There were free ear plugs available.

Answered only 25 questions since I got all correctly.

After the test I submitted my Nigerian licence in application for GDL exemption. Paid 105.94 by credit card for license and exemption. A vision test was conducted. I asked to take a photo of my NG license with my phone and they also made a black and white photocopy for me. Did photo capturing and then told to check back in 3-4b weeks for status of my GDL exemption.

I read the manual cover to cover, every single word. started yesterday and finished this morning. Did 2 AMA tests in between, score 27 and 28. By the time I finished the manual, I got 30/30 in the 3rd AMA.

Basically here to share that the AMA app is very helpful and some questions came word for word. However, reading or at least skimming through the manual is still the best bet.

Also when using the AMA app if you don't know any answer just follow the link to read that section of the manual.

Hi. Please can you share a link for the AMA app? Thanks

Congrats,

Scams will always call you. They won’t stop calling. Some will even call in disguise from agencies. And the evil is mostly perpetuated by In*ians.

I once had an encounter with them as well. And for the beggars, most of them are crackheads. Drugs made them so and now marijuana has been added to their lives.

Haven't paid yet, but I won't. If biometrics is required, they'll request for it.

People don't really want to teach. I lectured in a UK college and know this for sure. The teaching profession is very demanding with pay that doesn't match the workload, those natives you refer to avoid teaching. I'll advise you to process your teacher's qualifications here in Nigeria so you can hit the ground running immediately you arrive.

Thanks!

Teaching French with the school board is a good profession. I'd carry on with that. If you don't want too I'd try working with the federal government doing something like communications. But continuing teaching would be very lucrative. Specifically with the school board.

Thanks for the info.

Good anytime. I studied communication and media and I have been lecturing in Nigeria and about to journey to canny and without French background. Since you are interested in moving into my field, the French they speak there has its own comma so you have to familiarize yourself with it. If you have good writing skills and reading as well, With those two, go into editing and content writing.
I like that as well. Thanks

Most universities in Canada do especially if your previous degree is not from what they consider as English speaking countries, you can go on their website and find out. But if you're applying for an undergraduate or master's programme I'm sure you're not applying to just one school. So it would be easier to write the IELTS and have it handy for any school that requests it.
