A good list from Rohr but I believe Balogun was chosen based on experience and Iheanacho deserved to be dropped.

Again, let me continue to make a case for Maduka Okoye and Sebastian Osigwe to be invited and tried for the goalkeeping position. I mean, they cant be worse than the 3 we parade at every turnie.

Also Rohr should be flexible when it comes to team selection and his substitutions should be timely and tactical. I cant be happy for the inclusion of some young and exciting talents like Chukwueze and Osimehen and they wont feature at all in the competition.

Best of luck guys!

I didnt want KC to go to the AFCON either based on the fact that 1. He has not improved. 2. He has not been playing. Now that every Kelechi hater has had their dream achieved of dropping him lets let the matter rest. No need for all the mockery and dress down.

My best wishes are with Iheanacho. He must come back stronger and prove his critics wrong.

Forgiveness , you are dead wrong that Iheanacho should not have gone to the world cup. He was active for club during world cup preparations and scored some very important goals. Your dislike for Iheanacho is not exactly based on his performances....Its purely tribal and everyone here knows this. So, flush your bias and bigoted opinion down the toilet!

Rohr should have dropped Iheanacho prior to the world cup when it was obvious he lost form but he kept playing him over players that were in form.

He made him too relaxed and assured for a call.

This was what I saw then that made me to voice out on several occasions but people thought I was hating and even went as far as calling me a tribalist.

I think they were the true enemies of Iheanacho. They never really love the boy.

However, I think converting him into a striker from a SS/Amf didn't do him well, perhaps.

I hope he gets back to the Iheanacho we know. Goodluck.
It's funny how people are now accusing Rohr of not liking Nacho.
How many times did Rohr invite him despite being off form?? At least with Musa - he took his chance at the WC while Nacho has clearly failed to do so.
Maybe this tough love is what he needs. Picking him while he's off form in other to build his confidence while we have the likes of Osimhen, Awonyi, etc in form and improving everyday doesn't make sense.
He should take this as a challenge.

He gained the fame before he joined Manchester city but he was not a striker.

Very funny if you think the U17 stint can compare to the fame Iheanacho got to when he scored the winning goal against Crystal Palace that had Iheanacho's name on all the top sports tabloids.

Well said bro. I just don't understand how someone would choose to support a player over his national team. Even if Nacho was my younger bro, i won't make such statement

Nothing wrong with having this opinion. However, if it's as a result of Nacho getting dropped then this is beyond pitiful of you.
This isn't 2015. Nacho has been poor for 2 years now. Stop acting like he's Mbappe.

Ajayi shouldn't have been dropped, Shehu should have been dropped instead. Imagine one of our opponent bring on a tall and pacy MF when the match was on , who do you think can neutralise him among our squad? It pains to see him dropped but I wish him and THE SUPER EAGLES well. #soareagles
For those pained by Kelechi's exclusion, you should try and understand the players picked are going to Egypt to play football, they are not going there to knack the bigbrother female models.
As for Ighalo, this is a chance to redeem himself after his calamitous WC. I will like to see more of Osimehn pls.

Unpopular opinion:

Akpeyi looked more solid than Uzoho yesterday. I know he wasn't tested much but when he was, he showed pretty sharp reflexes.

And he seems to be good and long throws and clearances, both things Uzoho is horrible at.

But he still can't seem to sort out his 18 yard box. Nearly caught the ball outside his area more than thrice yesterday. Remember Argentina friendly.

I think by now your anger should be well vented. Time to get back to why we are here. I think Rohr has chosen his strategy for the competition which is to rely on working with strong physical target men which Onuachu, Osimhen and Ighalo clearly fits the bill.

Iheanacho might be a brilliant striker but he might not fit the system Rohr has chosen for the competition. Nacho's focus should shift to the preseason to make a big impact on the manager while we get behind our lads who fly our flags at the AFCON.

When I said prior to the world cup, I meant long before the world cup. Starting from 2016/2017 season. He was never the best during that period but Rohr kept calling him ahead of players in form of their life.

If Rohr had dropped him on few occasions, Iheanacho will never had considered passport over a big team like Monaco dying to have him.

Did he perform that season on the bench?

Iheanacho was also very poor last season if you actually asses his game.

Rohr is very loyal to players he likes. The reason he kept his faith with Iheanacho, Musa etcetera but unfortunately it didn't help Iheanacho.

Iheanacho ought to have been dropped long before now to inspire him to work harder but blind love just wouldn't allow Rohr drop him.

Anyway, it's good for him though in the depth of my heart I really wanted him to go to Egypt because I haven't seen enough of Onuachu.
