I just hope this trend of hoarding vital information for other aspirants doesn't continue. If you run a Facebook search for "MS in US groups", you'd be surprised at the number of present and aspiring Indian students active on them. I personally learnt so much from there which helped in my preps for the GRE, TOEFL, SOP, and visa interview. We really need to see how these guys post their visa transcripts there.

Please guys it doesn't hurt to provide any vital info that could help others in their prep for this journey. Kudos to @LagosismyHome, @Brown2Green, @Bracelum, @Time2win, and other really helpful members here.

who has been on administrative processing before? Did it show on your visa status online? And how long did it take you to get back your passport?

The date you see as earliest date before you make payment is different from the dates that open up when you pay. So don't hesitate in making payment dates are filling up real fast.

AP is very common now. Once you don't have funding from your school, they will place you on AP to verify if your account statement is legit. People using fake bank statement caused all this.

This is not true. A good number of my clients have secured visas (within the last 30 days) without school funding and they were not placed on AP.

You can check your status..at ustraveldocs. Depending on y u are on AP. There's no specific number of days, but probably can't exceed 60 days

I never said the candidate will be placed on AP nor did I say that the candidate will get his visa approved on the spot. My statement acknowledges the possibilities of both outcomes occurring while yours was absolute.
