I dont think its a lie i dont usually comment on this blog but they did the same thing to my pastor in Manchester. He was suspended for inviting an ex deeper life pastor to come and preach in a program he orgarnised.

This is coming one year after the program which he has even apologised for.

You would be surprised, don’t underestimate the level to which Nigerians can be drunk on power. I blame the couple for letting the pastor have so much power over them. Nigerians always make everything stressful. To book a church the only thing needed is your marriage license and to see if your date is available. Simple.

The couple and their families are both naive. They could have simply rent a hall, and get a pastor very easily to conduct the wedding. Besides the only marriage recognised by God is the traditional wedding with the parents blessing and not the one conducted by the Pastors those are simply ceremonial.

The irony is that the General Superintendent is now 78...a little too late to effect and monitor any real policy change in the church. I believe this story as I had spent 26 years in the church.
