Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has accused President Buhari of corruption and tampering with the operations of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC. 

In the interview with Premium Times, Obasanjo accused of President Buhari of corruption and tampering with the operations of ICPC and EFCC who are no longer independent under his government. 

The 82-year-old former President said, "I set up two institutions. I came with two laws that were not there before, to fight corruption. And those who claim they are fighting corruption today have not brought in anything different. If anything, they have corrupted those two institutions. And the institutions were open and independent. I never, never, as president had to say to either the head of ICPC or EFCC, 'Oh, chase this person."

Obasanjo is the most disgusting thing that happened to Nigeria.

Emotional torture is worst kind of pain cus it doesn't have cure, not even billion of dollars can cure it.

All of them that foisted this govt on us is either in one torture/pain or another.

Nobody has abused EFCC and ICPC more than Obasanjo himself when he was president. Even his 'new' friend Abubakar Atiku was a victim of this abuse.

The truth is that Chief Obasanjo is not a happy man at present. Apart from the results of presidential elections not going as he had anticipated, his May 29 Democratic Day has been taken away and given to a man he hates, MKO Abiola. In addition, the national stadium he built with inflated sum has also been named after the same enemy. Now, there is no assurance that EFFC and ICPC may not be amended to bear new names.

ICPC and EFCC should be scrabbed, government should empower police to do their functions

Of course Buhari is not fighting corruption but rather corruption is fighting Buhari.
