Oga, stop displaying your phoolishness.
SE were mostly NRC then and produced the Vice Presidential candidate.
Tofa/Ugo ticket.

You expected them not to vote their own son?
Even at that, Anambra still voted Abiola
so it was okay for south east to vote for their son, but not okay for South west to vote for their own Osinbajo?

When I went through your profile, I know you have anything in your skull except FRASS... How did you come up with those gibberish... MUMU
CyynthiaKiss:

Empty skulls are very easy to spot.. Commenting because others are commenting even when they have nothing reasonable to say . This is how they are both online and offline.. Meet them offline and engage them in debate, you will weep.
Infact , you will give up because while discussing with them, they will be telling you "I heard ", "My Iman told me", "Allah said " bla bla bla.. No meaningful response from them.. They can't do ordinary research even when they have access to internet...That is how they were created.. Just like when you give a blind man Television.
Meanwhile, Whether Igbos rejected Abiola who was backstabed and killed by one of his own, rejected by one of his own and shared his meat as well by his kinsmen, it's nobody's business.. This is democracy and no apology will be renderd to any body or group who is not satisfied with their choice of candidate..
Ohaneze rubbed it on Buhar's face that they will reject him again if there is anything like third term despite knowing the fact that Buhari has a dictatorial tendency, na bloody civilian like Abiola go give Igbos sleepless nights ?

And for the purpose of records, the attached below is the result of states won and Lost by Abiola and Tofa .. The person I quoted is a myopic Yoruba Muslim. He's one of the reasons why Yoruba Muslim re suffering on nairaland..

This is a very daft response.

Out of four SE states, Abiola managed to win just one.

Was that the same way you gave GEJ and Atiku 1 out of 5 states?

You preferred northerners over your co-southerner. Years later, you people started talking about southern unity when in fact you have always been the region stoking hatred.

Same way with NCNC/NPC and bringing Zik out of retirement to divide the southern votes.

Na you people dey cry pass now.

Majority tribe now minority.

Just like we in south south will support any party that has a northerner as it's candidate come 2023 instead of supporting a coward from south west. And u know that the north will always support their own.

The calibre of people around GEJ never advised him well. Even if he was a dunce, his hordes of advisers ought to have told him it was a bad idea to rename UNILAG.

National figures are honoured with symbolic things such as currencies, popular national monuments, stadia, airports and not higher institutions from the person backyard.

Apart from naming universities after Zik, Ahmadu Bello and Awolowo, they were further dignified by putting their names on different denominations and naming airports after them respectively.

We already had Moshood Abiola Poly, why naming him after an institution again?

PMB did the right thing.
Are stadium and Airport symbolic things?

I do not expect this from a highly placed person like pa Tony Momoh, with due respect to you sir, does this dirty politics played in Nigeria takes away goodness from a good person? Take away dirty politics, Jonathan did not commit any crime, yes, higher institution like Unilag was more honorable if power that be did not incite students to humiliate Jonathan to disgrace him, it is sad people like you did not salvage the situation because of dirty and wicked party politics. You were so loved by many sir.

the main reason the opponents of the renaming of UNILAG gave was that the name UNILAG is an international brand and here he is talking about Abiola being reduced to a local champion.

And so?
Was he entitled to win igbo votes? What did he do for the south east?
When did abiola become the second coming of george washington?
He was a corrupt man who won based on philantropism.

Instead of you to attack your useless coward yoruba leaders that sold him off.
It was even a brave igbo inec chairman that declared his presidency.
Bloody revisionist.

Igbos will always be great. We will always lead in things that matter.
Opposition is not a crime. An ethnic group was in opposition for 16 years and nothing happened.
Your yoruba elders also cried for 16 years about being marginalized.

Jolly just come.

The kind of thins we read nowadays from politicians is shameful. How does renaming UNILA after Abiola make him a local champion. The only reason the renaming was rejected by the students was because they didn't want a change in name. The APC people on the other hand were political about it. If Jonathan had named this same Abuja stadium after him, APC would still have had something to say.

God bless you my brother..

man one of the best comment I have seen from you in recent time...they know the jobless youth will keep on arguing among themselves, see how those one up there turn it into a tribal issue.

This forum is really making me view most Nigerian youths as dimwitted peasants with very low breeding... I might need to take a very long break off social media as a whole, or avoid anything pertaining to this country... For the sake of my sanity.

I swear my mind is getting poisoned... When I encounter people of my age in the course of my daily activities, a part of me already has a low expectation of them (...and sometimes, they fail to prove me wrong).

Just imagine the level of childishness going on in nearly every topic, from people whose age mates are breaking developmental barriers universally. What a SHAME! Tueh!!! undecided

According to Momoh and your likes. Naming Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, after Zik the foremost Nationalist was to reduce Zik to ethnic champion right?

At times I wonder the kind of stupidity people churn out of their brain

Do you read to understand or to reply? He clearly stated and zik despite a university wa names after him, 500 Naira note has his image. I believe you understand my comment since I wrote it the way your dead brain will easily process.

I didn't know that renaming University of Ife as Obafemi Awolowo University really killed the school's legacy.

I have learnt something from my Yoruba friends today

Wait until the BAT Jagagban becomes a Federal Politician, Unilag has already been penciled down for renaming after him.

igbos did not vote for abiola but he was voted for by others and he won, and those who voted for him (probably the yorubas and the northerners) colieded and jailed him and later on killed him, my question is "among those that did not vote for him and did not hurt him and those that voted for him and then killed him" who did the worst? my brother tribalism is mental sickness, i rest my case!
