Pls screenshot what u mean... Cus i use Chinese rom.
I get notifications from say watsapp,
I swipe down to see it. I click and hold the notification.
It pops up with the typing bar to write my messages. I don't use two fingers watsoever
The first swipe from up down, brings the control panel with botification, second swipe brings all the control panel.
I'm still on miui. Not android style.

I think if you switch to android style, you wouldn't need to hold the notification. you would just need to swipe down with a finger and do the needful. It's good one can change how notification works cos na the real deal breaker be that for me.

One day you people will explain were you guys are rushing this page to.

Meanwhile RN7 users, YOUR PHONE DOESN'T HAVE DARK MODE AUTOMATICALLY!!! You can only get dark mode via a custom theme.
I'm sure somebody will still ask question about it, for now it's just phones being upgraded to Pie that have dark mode in settings. Ours that came with Pie doesn't have dark mode.

I appreciate that, I wanted to keep the video brief due to short attention span of viewers based on the analytics I observed..
Would consider a different approach in my next videos.

I actually just used it for a few secs...and I'm already done with it, it's too cumbersome
My bro uses s8... It's same implementation in Samsung's one ui. First swipe shows notification... Second swipe brings full control panel.
And its same across miui if I'm not mistaken.
Maybe it's a stock android thing.
Or perhaps u can upload a short vid of it.

Guys I need your help here in making a decision.

I had wanted to get a Xiaomi phone since the note 7 and note 7pro came out but due to the fact that note 7pro wasn't made for international market, I chilled and waited for their next device.

Now k20 and k20pro is here again and yet the pro version didn't make it to international market again.

The reason why I am particular about the international version is because I leave in Germany and it would be nice to have something made specifically for international markets.

I am finding it difficult to compromise and go for the k20 (Mi 9T) because of the processor and how to is much behind it's pro version but since it was made for the international market, it has band 20 that the Chinese k20pro is lacking Which is kinda a big deal here in Europe for 4G network tho I can still compromise.

Should I go for the Chinese k20pro or the global k20?

If I go for the k20pro what are the things I should be expecting in terms of software. Can I port to a global rom or i will be stocked with the endless Chinese ads?

Or better still, which other brand will you recommend that is Huawei or OnePlus? Trying to ignore Huawei because of this their porting from Android.

Kindly help me in my decision making.

One don't need to root before installing, right?
I don't think so. You need unlocked bootloader and TWRP recovery.

I would pick the mi 9 instead of going for the k20 (mi 9t). It looks like the k20 pro would be the poco f2 (all rumours and all that).

The global/chinese rom thingy is all down to preference and i doubt if chinese ads spring up while using the chinese version. If band 20 is a major priority, just do the MI 9.

You can also look at the oneplus 6t/7. Good devices.

If battery is not a big deal the Mi 9 global version got you covered.

If your budget is larger then the OnePlus 7/7pro should be looked at as well
