yes Paulinus doesn't even know about the cat stuff it's VO that ask the question and my guy that did on June 12 was almost turned back but the superior guy to the VO later told her that the reason he ticked scholarship was because the site had error at first and it has since been resolved which is why he was interviewed.

I just hope that this explanation to the reason of ticking scholarship in Cat A. has been detailed to other VO’s
because we plenty way tick scholarship in order to book A.

This is definition of what I call grace!! Like the VO said “She is lucky because no category was stated in her appointment letter
harkheju:
my very good friend also went today for her interview and she wasn't sent back...she told me the VO asked her about the category she booked , she said category A..she also went with HND....the VO checked her appointment letter and asked her when she booked, she told him may 31 so the VO told her she is lucky because no category was stated on her appointment letter.

Obinnafrancis:

Bro am with u 100% on this. I have said it several times on this platform that Part 6 guys aren't trying when it comes to dropping their transcripts after interview. It's really bad. Our attitude towards giving out information (especially transcript) is very very bad. So many of us have gone for interview here but they do not want to share their transcripts.
NB- The transcripts we share here could help hundreds of lives. Don't wait till ur AM drop before you do that. Don't say it's the normal or usual questions. There may be one or two new questions. Let's help one another.

Well said bro. The thing is, people no longer see the interview transcripts as an obligatory contribution to the success of this thread, which is in stark contrast to what applied in the previous parts.
I'm sure a lot of us read through the previous parts and it was the interview questions we used to have an idea of how a visa interview looks like even before we step our feets on Walter Carrington Crescent.

We now see it as an optional contribution. Someone was even advocating one time like that. He/She said people shouldn't be forced to give their transcripts. Of course, we can't force people, but then, Bryant McGill made me to understand that Giving is the master key to success, in all applications of human life.

Proverbs 11:25 sheds more light on that too.

May God help us overcome this attitude.

*Open a block account as soon as possible. There are about four financial institutions approved by the embassy. But pls avoid Deutsch Bank like a plague, unless you want cancel your Waka this year. Their bureaucracy is so annoying. Fintiba has been fun and lovely and happens to be most appreciated for a good number of us. Everything done online and no negative reviews about them since inception. Xpatrio is online too, but we have gotten some negative reviews about them as regards third party issues. And it's even a bit expensive than fintiba on the long run. Coracle just came in new into the fold. No much reviews so far, can't say about their effectiveness if any.

NB : Please note am not a marketer for any of this banks, before you mistake me for doing a marketing campaign. I am just spilling out the beans, cos I know you definitely need to make informed decisions.

* Fund your account immediately with €8640 (Bank charges exclusive) if you have the money available. If not, you can still go to the interview without funding. But make sure you fund your account.

* There's no need for notarization of documents at this stage. All you need do is to photocopy originals of the documents on the checklist for student visa application. Make sure you bring along with you both the original copy and the photocopies as specified on the checklist. You will drop both the originals and photocopies for them of which your originals will be returned back to you when you come to collect your visa.

*You need to book for student visa appointment as soon as possible to enable you get a date for the interview. If you have got a first class or second class upper or lower in your bachelors, together with a masters degree admission, then book for category A. Every information you need to enable you do this is on the German embassy website. If you are confused about anything there, feel free to ask for guidance here, people are always available and ever willing to help.

* Prepare for your interview very well by reading through other people's experience here. You can get examples of such here made available by some kind hearted folks. Hope you will be kind enough to share your experience too for others to benefit after you are done.

* After the interview, if successful, of which you will definitely be at least to a large extent, the consulate sends you what we call Approval mail (AM). They will demand for your travel insurance and your passport for stamping.

* I don't think you need to pay for semester fees from here unless otherwise stated by the school. A good number of schools allow you to come in first and during your registration, you then pay for it. But if your school demands you pay before coming in, they will probably give you instructions as regards how best you can go about it.

Feel free to ask questions here whenever you get confused, but please and please do some little research first, Google should be your friend now, not instagram, twitter or facebook. Please don't come here feeling entitled or expecting to be spoon fed, you will definitely get a doze of lashing if you fail to do the needful no matter what. We always recommend you read through this thread for your own benefit. A lot of tangible information are domiciled here free of charge.

Chai, I don write sermon again ooooo, na wa oooo, just to explain something, two fool scap sheets don finish, Lol. Anyway If I decide to summarize, I think it would not help you to a large extent since you are basically new, as I will be removing so much vital details which will benefit you and others as well.

Thank for your detailed explanations. I hope to help too when the time comes. I'm grateful

Good day guys,
I’m applying to a school that doesn’t require ielts. However I want to confirm if having gns on my transcript is enough to prove my language of instruction was in English? Applying for letter of proficiency might take awhile and I’m trying to send my documents ASAP as deadline is on the 15th of July
This question will be best answered by the course coordinator of your program. They are the ones that will sit on your application to decide if they'll admit you or not.

Some schools, like Duisburg-Essen might not even ask you for IELTS, TOEFL or EPL, because they view Nigerians as native speakers. It's not on their course website. But How did I know this? Mailing the course coordinator.

So do the needful bro.
As regards the EPL, start processing it now. Even if it will require you to grease some people palms so it can be done expressly, please do. You know time is not waiting.

Hearty congratulations newly admitted! Lob sei Gott!!
Apologies for those i am unable to respond to their PMs na hustle cause am.

I wish to thank all the contributors in this forum. just to add to what @Eldee narrated, i'd list few things that you might need to consider now you might still have time.

1) Get a drivers licence/learn driving. My company offered me a car, but i no get license. it will give you access to wide range of job opportunities. I no come fit spend 1800 euro plus the time to get am sharperly. To buy car here easy...sometimes you might wanna be sassy-classy grin grin grin grin grin grin grin.renting a Mercedes benz here for trip (better one is about 5 euro/day) Suffer nogo kill you for this life.

2) Equip yourself. I got many opportunities. Forget dirty jobs, neat ones dey too grin grin grin grin grin if you clean yourself from home.
example, i got an offer as social media content management/development (just be snapping photo for them, editing with photoshop/InDesign and upload in their social media platforms like their Facebook account, Instagram etc for 15euro/hr). Challie, i no sabi photshop ni. As a sharp guy i asked during the interview if i can learn in 2 weeks, they said "leider nicht".(Unfortunately no). Fvck! i lost the job and missed the fvcking cozy office grin grin grin grin grin grin
Like i earlier mentioned, learn any functional programming language, u go be chairman. I also got a Nach hilfe (Extra-moral class for kinda SS3 mathematics class) 25 euro per hour. So you see?

3)If admitted, act with faith (I did so). Study related topics you might be needing for your future course. Revise your old notes. If you have access to internet, download or follow verified tutors on youtube. The thing is, you might not understand everything yet, but when you have an idea, its easier to ask the right question when it shows up in class.

4) Accommodation is a huge challenge (not a problem). If you are like me that like to be comfortable, apply for SWG in your city. This should be one of the earliest stuffs you should do. It's a government owned housing agency...their rooms are perfect and spacious with dining. Me i cannot comman squeez myself in one box and still pay high rent. SWG houses are fucking cheap. Embarrassingly cheap.
If you rent under someone, you can be kicked out, its not secured. But SWG, you are renting direct from gwomenti. everything is standard.

5) If you are like me that had no one to pick me from airport and you no wan dey jump train or miss road, abeg avoid the stress. There is a reliable transportation here called Flixbus. When you are sure of your travel date, you can contact someone here to book it for you from airport direct to your city. It is even cheaper and more comfortable than train.

6) If you can learn how to barb or shave yourself, you are luck. Buy clipper. Learn it if possible. i was forced to. normally barbing here, cheapest is 10 euro. Shaving 3 euro. When i came newly, i barbed for 29 euro, mostly need to barb 2wice a week, when i did the maths, e no soft oooo. Alaye na polythene bag you wan use comeback naija

7) Open a euro account with a reliable bank. Get all the details, if you are married and you trust your spouse, make it a joint account. In fact, find a way of dumping euro in Naija when you come here. If possible, make a possibility that your spouse (back home) or your siblings or your lawyer or your best friend can be able to withdraw the money if you authorize.

cool You will meet so many small children here. Don't be deceived. If you don reach to marry, marry. No dey do baby-pan-cake. shatap ya mauth grin grin grin grin. Truth is, you will never remain young.

9) If you are wishing to marry oyibo or oyibo marry you, get prepared. What worked for Mr A might not work for Mr B. What i mean to say is, prepare other strategies. No go abandon school unto all-is-in-order. People no dey hard to frustrate for this town. If e no dey for paper, no be you get m, even if you give oyibo belle, if she no go declare am for office, you still dey on a long thing. If you catch the one wey love you, she go even cry make you marry am, even carry am go Naija. But the thing is, you are the Nigeria she is seeing. Some of us here dey mumu. creating very silly impressions. When i see them i just turn left. Nonsense.

10) Within your last few weeks of travel, go for proper medical checkup (I checked everything grin grin grin grin grin). Be sure you treat any of our tropical sicknesses. Because if you carry malaria come here, na ambulance things. But here, malaria no dey to the best of my knowledge. I go hospital tell them say "doctor na malaria....na my normal sickness for nigeria, whenever i dey feel like this, i just know say na malaria" i just dey talk like small pikin, at he end, no be malaria. Shame no dey gree me go there again grin grin grin grin. come with some drugs if you wanna. its not necessary if you ask me.

11) Don't learn the language! As a big boy/girl na nonsense grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin I am an opposite living testimony.

12) There are many things to distract you here, even your fellow blacks....in fact Nigerians. Get ready for it all. Know what you want and go for it. Don't reveal too much about your personality. Sadly, na person wey sabi you go betray you.

THIS IS YOUR GERMANY;
YOU PRAYED FOR

You know admission requirements differ from one program to another.. even within the same school

So in addition to what you'll get from the thread, take a step further to mail your course coordinator. They have the final say.

You were the one (one of those) saying category A was for only scholarship students which was wrong and those that try to probe it made it possible for others to confidently book caregory A if you are going for Msc and have first class to 2:2

Honestly, since I started this German Waka, I have never been this shocked. All was set for my interview next week - motivation was high. Then, suddenly, someone gets bounced yesterday for booking wrong category. I had to cancel and book B. My worry now is I don't know when I'm going to get another date with the way they give dates under category B.
Enrollment deadline is August 31st and Hamm-lipstadt seems not poised to give extensions. I don't know if I am going to make it this year.
I'm just tired Meenn.

Let the will of the Lord prevail...
I heard the school gives extention but they normally wait till it's in August or close to the enrollment ending before they give that a friend that got the AL told me

Greeting y'all,

If you graduated from Houdegbe North American University Benin Republic. or you know somebody that graduated from there and wants to apply to Germany for study. It is a NO NO!! My friend was rejected yesterday on the basis that Houdegbe North American University is not recognized in Germany and any degree from that school is not recognized in Germany too. So if you graduated from there, don't bother wasting money for uni assist or sending of documents.

Also, for newbies coming over, when you get to DE and you have an address, you can open N26 bank online immediately, you only need your passport, its an online bank and you can use the card to buy stuffs online too, you will get the card within 8 days. All those Sparkasse bank and Deutsche Bank ATM card no get CCV but i'd advise you open one of them too. Your blocked acct monthly dispensation too can be sent to N26 bank.

Also, if you coming, bring some little things like nail-cutter, 2-mouth extension, flipflops and slide, flash-drive or external hard-disk, Curtain, Bedspread, Drugs (you dont wanna be booking appointment with doctors for headache esp), buy Jeans trouser plenty oo, you will get good ones for 5k in 9ja, bad quality jeans is 19.99 EUR upwards here, if you are used to a body cream and you care about your skin and you cream very well then buy plenty come with glycerin for cold and always check the expiry date that it will expire at least 2 years later. You can get some of the creams on Amazon but it might be expensive and you gotta pay for shipping fees. My guy bought cream of 39.99 EUR online (3k original cream for 9ja) because he had already started turning to baba suwe after he bought one cream in a store here like that. Also, if you are a guy, you better buy clipper and sharpen it with your barber and learn at least shaving esp if you are like me that shaves every 3 days. You dont need toothpastes, spaghetti, rice, salt, sugar, tomato paste, body sprays, roll on... They all freaking cheap.

And like i said in some of my post back, if you coming here with SL, bring euros come o at least 1500 to 2k for your rent, caution fees for rent, residence permit fees (if the city issues card only), enrolment fees, health insurance fee before you get job. What i know is you can't die of hunger smiley
If you come here and you not that buoyant enough, you can get a credit card (at least 800 EUR limit at first and will increase later if you behave well in payments) for your little bills. its like a borrowed money, so if you dont have the mind to pay back, dont do it, the bank will report you to the auslander if you dont finally pay thier money back maybe after 4 months and thats problem for you.

If you be guy and you sabi cook, you go date oyinbo smiley at least but be ready to take some shii you cant take from your ex back home. "you fit hear something like- you crazy, why would you do this?" if you meet good christian girls which are scarce, you get luck and of course, you gotta dress well, no be say you go dey dress like homeless people, put on some nice sneaks, some nice shirts, and nice perfume or spray, no be say you go dey smell like Express fish, and stay fit. Download Meetup app on playstore or apple store, on this app, you can see events and get-together happening in your area, you just go there and have fun and link up, they are mostly attended by working class, some of them travel around the world for no reason, Dont tryna fvck every girl/lady you meet, you can just be friends and she could be of help later and always tryna add value to people, its not everytime take take take because thats what some of them know us for. Also, download Evenbrite app too, remember CONNECT is the key to various opportunities, on the eventbrite app too, you can see various programs and events happening all over DE and in your area esp when you in big cities, some are free while some are not free. Relate with oyinbos wella and your fellow Nigerian students, Dont reveal too much about you, Dont talk too much but be lively, Be Honest!!

I WISH YOU THE BEST OF GOD GUYS!!

Greeting y'all,

If you graduated from Houdegbe North American University Benin Rep. or you know somebody that graduated from there and wants to apply to Germany for study. It is a NO NO!! My friend was rejected yesterday on the basis that Houdegbe North American University is not recognized in Germany and any degree from that school is not recognized in Germany too. So if you graduated from there, don't bother wasting money for uni assist or sending of documents.
I have said this before that most of the schools in Benin rep are not rated and am surprise naijas go there to school without knowing this sincerely speaking the least school in naija is higher than the best school there

Don't mention. But please don't hope to help, make it a point of duty to help someone. If I was hoping to help like you said, I wouldn't wake up in the middle of the night after seeing your request to help you. The Holy Books admonished us to help one another and not hoping to do so. All the very best
I will definitely make it a point of duty. Thanks once more
