This thing is just everywhere this days. I know a lady who was given similar treatment by her family.She had sent about 12million naira home for her building project, only to come home and discovered there was nothing on ground.The elder brother was buying cars and carrying women in Nigeria with her sister's sweat. When he heard about his sister's return to the country, he ran to Europe with the remaining change. Unfortunately the girl couldn't handle the shock,she started behaving strange and was rushed to psychiatric hospital in uselu, Benin. She's mad today in Benin, i ran into her when i came to town for last year's yuletide.
My inlaw in Japan got a similar treatment from his elder brother too. He was lucky not to have sent too much money to him before he got the information that there was nothing on ground. He wept when he came to see for himself, he had to stay back to build his house himself before returning to Japan.

Something similar happened at Ugbor years back.after staying abroad for years and sending money steady to his brother,that one kept updating him with pictures from other peoples buildings .He came back and saw an empty land.Twas the odionwere DAT settled d matter

Even that one no sure sef. Heard about the young onitsha dude who lived in Spain that was sending money to one contractor. When he came to see the house after a few years, he was taken to someone else’s incomplete building where he was killed and buried in a shallow grave there. Fortunately for the family, the police were able to track down the killer contractor who thought his crime would go unnoticed. Things dey happen sha, wahala no dey finish for Naija!
