The light had turned red as I was about passing and stopped. The guy behind me, a cab driver kept blasting his horn. Since he probably knows the road better, I foolishly thought it was normal for drivers to flout the traffic light.

Just as I moved, the agberos working with the police came from nowhere to block me, the cab driver who had earlier been blasting his horn quickly slammed on his brake without crossing the line.

Long story short, had to part with 2k. Since that day, I swore never to fall victim again. Once I'm approaching the line and the traffic light is on 5, I just slowdown and stop.

Few times when I'm with madam, she'll say look at this other drivers who arrived after you still going and you've stopped.

I go just look am with one eye while I bind and cast any spirit that will make me part with N2000

This is the final time I will explain this to you.. Fram has improved their from 15k miles oil change to 20k miles .. I carry the ones that last for 15k miles ... this is what I use on all my uber cars .. Now would I advice people to wait till 15k miles to 20 miles ? The answer is NO, on the 15k miles oil filter, I change them at 12k miles only, I don't do the whole 15k miles. And now on the 20k miles oil filter, I will advice to do oil change at 15k miles.....
You are the same person that stated that fake oil would not damage engine .... So for me to reply you ,is a waste of time ..

I'm not trying to attack anyone's hustle but telling people to use an oil for as much as 12k-15k miles which is equivalent to 5-6 months is so wrong and misleading.
For Christ sake read the back labels of these oils, they still strongly advise you to follow your owners recommended oil intervals (5-6k miles)
My point is the synthetic oil is actually great and also the best in the market, it reduce engine wear and tear, and can go as much as 15k miles on USA European free clear roads with less traffic
But not on Lagos Uber biz with consistent short trips, Consistent Stop and go, consistent off and on engine, annoying unending Lagos stop nd go traffic, ur slug and carbon build up will be so much ehh.
U can still help yourselves with some YouTube videos, all foreign expect mechanics strongly condemned the 15k miles oil change idea

You will be shocked when the inside of the valve cover of a "fake oil" naija used car is cleaner than your engine which does 12k miles on your mobil 1 snake oil..

Some people(not E-hailing drivers) change oil at 2 months intervals, most times that 2 months translates to less that 1k miles or at most 1.5k miles between oil change..

I will take such cars over your 12k miles mobil 1 cars

Lol .... If that is the case Mobil 1 extended performance should be out of business by now ... and also cars like Toyota Camry new models like 2011 up ,recommends changing oil every 10k miles with full synthetic oil ,mineral oil every 3k to 5k miles ...
Back to Lagos traffic .. Thank you for bringing that up .. For the wear and tear of Lagos traffic.. Than you need to use better quality oil than ,which if course you dont use ..most of the oil that enters naija market will not meet international standard, especially the USA standard ..now that been said ,your cheap oil that u use ,u should be doing oil change every 2k miles ....

With all the dust and pollution in Lagos ,most of you including you ,will not change the air filters in your car .. Or better yet don't know the importance of air filters...
