I hear Idiagbon was the man with the power. Buhari was just the puppet. Is this correct?
/
Idiagbon was the man.

Buhari was there as a figurehead. Shagari was a President but Ekwueme did all the heavy-lifting.
Buhari is the President but Osibanjo does the heavy-lifting. It is called the Northern interest
whereby a Ph.D holder will play second fiddle to barely-educated Northerners in a position of power:

Shagari vs Ekwueme (TTC vs. Ph.D (Architecture))
Buhari vs Idiagbon (WASC vs B.Sc (Econs))
Buhari vs Osibanjo (WASC vs Masters in Law)
Yar'Adua vs GEJ (M.Sc vs Ph.D(Zoology)). /* At least, Yar'Adua tried */
Atiku vs Obi (Diploma vs B.A)

Not in my country where we have lots of impatient and stupid drivers and riders on the road

Don't fool yourself... there are lots of very stupid and impatient drivers in such countries. It is not self discipline that makes them toe the line..... it is 24/7 law enforcement and consequences. Should the authorities enforce the law... we will seem just as disciplined.

Damn the discipline is too much. Look how they're orderly calm in traffic

You should come to Airport road in the evenings and see how cars drive one-way against traffic just to avoid having to turn at the right places. They will even be yelling at you as if they have the right of way. Honestly, our penchant for breaking every known rule under the sun as is too disheartening.

Africans descended from the son of Noah that Noah cursed that's why! Gen 9. Gen 10. Psalm 78. Psalm 105.

The solution is Jesus - the ppl are cursed until they turn to Jesus!!

This explains why Africa is a disgrace to humanity - the continent is cursed (by Noah)- that's why Nigeria is bedevilled by so many problems. Jesus is d answer!!

We can also achieve this if our laws are respected and obeyed by citizens in respective of who u r.
If we can travel out and obey set rules and regulations over there then, it is possible here too.

This is Aizawal. It is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. The city has a population of 293,416. It is the largest city in the state.

It is also the center of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house, and civil secretariat.

For many years, it had earned notoriety for severe traffic gridlock.

However, recent reforms in the road transport sector have seen motorists in a rare display of not just awesome traffic management but extreme coordination among the people too!

See below a very impressive display of traffic discipline.

Which Nigerian city do you think this kind of traffic discipline can be achieved?

No other reason to explain why there's no single successful black majority country.... and why black nations are retrogressive! As I speak thousands of Afrikans are trying to cross by sea into Europe - becoming illegal immigrants. Abacha looted like crazy! Cursed race!

Indians are Hindus and Buddhists not xristians and moslems, their religion is a practical way of life indigenous to them, not borrowed from those who borrowed from those who do not believe in the new modified religions, so it would be easier for such a set of people to synchronize in better understanding higher than in a set of people whose religion divides them and even some religion arogates holiness unto itself yet it's practitioners are diametrically opposed to their purported messiah's injunctions by disingenuous misinterpretation of the holy books

Enugu comes to my mind.

but I think with strong laws all this nonsense on roads in Lagos, Onitsha, Ibadan, Port Harcourt will stop drastically

Enugu bus and Keke drivers are raving loonies!

Try driving through Holyghost after 6pm, when the ECTDA traffic controllers have gone for the day. Most Enugu drivers only behave when there's a Capital Territory official around. They don't even have any regards for the regular traffic wardens.

I agree with you that strict and swift traffic law enforcements are the sure solutions to these issues. Problem is, the supposed law makers/enforcers would be the first to violate such and the problems would be replicated top to down. Why for goodness sakes can't top political office holders leave on time, if they wish to arrive their destinations on time. I also from experience got to discover that these traffic violations by top politicians mostly arise from the overzealousness of the drivers, but their principals fail to caution them, so I guess the politicians are okay with the traffic violations.

As per OP's question, we'll never have such traffic discipline, until Nigeria gets a leader like Lee Kwan Yew. A combination of intelligence, capacity and strong hand democracy. Simple.

if you look very carefully at these pix, you would observe that there are no potholes on the roads, invariably for such level of discipline good roads are a prerequisite, which unfortunately my friend Lagos is not yet 60% tarred not to mention the dilapidated state of the tarred roads so it would be chasing a unicorn
