Don't fool yourself... there are lots of very stupid and impatient drivers in such countries. It is not self discipline that makes them toe the line..... it is 24/7 law enforcement and consequences. Should the authorities enforce the law... we will seem just as disciplined.
over here our law enforcement officers are outlaws, compromised and criminally minded who break each and every law in the book unlike over there and so it is highly improbable

That can be changed if the people are willing to make a change. You are saying highly improbably.... same as no use trying. The girl whose sister was raped by the senator I'm sure was told highly improbable.... nothing will be done since he is a senator and she a nobody... no money... no connections. Where there is a will there is a way.... too many of us want the way... but don't have the will to achieve it.

We had this sort of discipline in Lagos in 84 when Buhari introduced WAI. Anyone who drove on the wrong side of the road was emphatically told off by everyone else. It really was amazing how we all pulled together in those few months. You'd have thought God had arrived!

Then Babangida took over and we sadly all returned to our barbaric nature!
oga anytime you mention Buhari back down to 84 always tagged it Buhari/Idiagbon regime not only Buhari regime, if not idiagbon only Buhari can not achieved what you are claiming here. ,,,this Buhari can never achieve anything great alone for example since 2015 what did Buhari administration achieved? Nothing ,OK let me put it this way during obasanjo regime obasanjo reformed our banks, banks cant liquidate anymore then he paid our debts ,he was the one established EFCC AND CPC in which Buhari is using to hunt the opposition today although I didn't like obasanjo for the reason personally known to me, then Jonathan administration was the one introduced this TSA account being used by Buhari administration today, can you just tell me one policy introduced by this Buhari olodo administration ?Buhari rode on idiagbon achievement to become gold in the eyes of people who didn't know the history of Our nation, to tell you the fact Buhari didn't know anything on how to govern the nation, you can see what is happening now unless if you're a pretender, good day sir.

When Buhari instituted war against indiscipline, u guys crucified him.

Unfortunately, that's the only thing that can save this country. Fire for fire.

It happened in Buhari's tenure as a military ruler.

Every bad thing in 84 is attributed to Buhari while the good ones are attributed to Idiaghon. Kudos

I hear Idiagbon was the man with the power. Buhari was just the puppet. Is this correct?

This question or remark is one if the reasons Nigeria continues to lag behind in development even in this 21st century. We are always looking for an excuse or reason to belittle or overpraise our own leaders. Who cares who did it? People complain about everything. Buhari/Idiagbon came they complain, Babangida came they complain, even today we are still complaining.

naija drivers are known for their inpatient. even ordinary traffic light they can't obey, the authority still have to put a police patrol there to make sure dat they comply with it, still they default. only technology and impartiality can make us to be Like them, which is inconceivable

This is Aizawal. It is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. The city has a population of 293,416. It is the largest city in the state.

It is also the center of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house, and civil secretariat.

For many years, it had earned notoriety for severe traffic gridlock.

However, recent reforms in the road transport sector have seen motorists in a rare display of not just awesome traffic management but extreme coordination among the people too!

See below a very impressive display of traffic discipline.

Which Nigerian city do you think this kind of traffic discipline can be achieved?

which method is ALIBABA. please explain sir
A thought hit me. If @jidesanwoolu wants to make extra N200b to develop Lagos, he should just invest in CCTVs at major and busy junctions. With STOP signs to boot. Borrow money to fix the roads and drainages. Then set up a system that will get drivers and vehicles to be linked together. When you are caught on tape, beating the traffic lights or breaking traffic laws, you will just get the alert that the payment has been deducted from your account.

To make this work, each car will have its registration number linked to the BVN of the owner. No need to set up any other means of collecting the money. And if you sell the car, you must go to the licensing office to change the BVN. Failure to do that means whoever drives the car and commits an offence, will not be debited. The original owner pays.

If it’s a military vehicle, the debit comes from the military account. Same with corporate bodies. Individuals too. You can imagine Oga is sitting at home, in Ikoyi, and he gets a debit alert for traffic infractions in Lekki PHASE 1, N45,000. How? He will call the driver or whoever is with the car. Kilode? “I beat red lights sir”. Just sack yourself.

And it doesn’t matter whether you have money in the account. The account will be on debit. Any day money comes in it will be deducted with interest.

No traffic.”

Government will have to face protest and protest, court cases upon court cases. You can't just deduct money from someone's account on an arbitrary manner.
Government is already extorting money from us I'm several ways. We can't encourage them with more evil ideas.
Do you know the pension regime is a big fraud.
