This man is drunk. The problem is not setting up it but it's a foolish investment for Telco companies.

How many people are even using 4G? Like you said, 3G is still having issues not to talk of 5G. They should rather update their servers and make it more functional.

Asalam alaekum warahmatulah wabarakahtuhu my brothers and sisters.

We(my mum and I) have been in University Of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in Enugu for months (since March 19) due to the surgery on brain tumor that was diagnosed by Pathway Hospital In Oshogbo before we were referred to UNTH. The surgery was done on 8th of May.
Alhamdulilah for the success of the surgery. Alhamdulilah she is getting better day by day and the Histopathography result shows Transitional Megnioma Grade 1 (World Health Organization). Which is the best result that can be expected.
We were discharged on 25th of May and our bill is absolutely higher than what we can dream to afford. It's over 700 thousand. Surgery fee is 500 thousands (craniotomy +brain tumor excision) while hospital bill is 281 thousand.. We have deposited 120 thousand naira... We have even spent more than 800 thousands in getting the surgery kits, tens of tests, MRI, Chest Scan and series of consultant clinic attending (endocrinologist, Cardiologist, Neurologist)..

Total amount we need now is 600 thousand in which we have managed to get 200 thousand.

I really never expected A Nigerian teaching hospital fees to be so expensive.. I even met with the CMD (Chief Medical Director) twice about waiving of bill which he refused on the point that federal government are not funding the hospital.

We need all the help we could get.. Sharing this message is also part of helping. No amount is small..

You guys might not believe it but Nigeria has a faster mobile data than some part of USA. Fact is that most of them Yankee people use Wi-Fi but 80-90% here are on mobile. I get close to 2MB/sec on Glo which is equivalent to 16mb/sec on H+

Now check the speed and we are on par and even better than many countries. But as usual, we don't expect anything good to come out of Nigeria and are quick to rubbish whatever thing we have

It's good to have 5G in Nigeria since the equipment will be manufactured in China, hence, the equipment price should be affordable, but Nigeria as a country is not ready for 5G, how do you provide high bandwidth capacity when the service provider still rely on microwave radiod as backup for their backhual links, since Fiber is still very unreliable in the country due to cut both from construction companies and saboteurs.

What is the so-called WIFI connected to? For the same amount of money being spent on internet subscription, the service provider could provide better service. I am sure they will blame it on using diesel to power their operations.
The service is poor in Nigeria and people should stop claiming that Nigeria is better than some other country; is that not how it is supposed to be?

You are ready for 5G when you don't even have 4G? Although the networks claim to have 4G, I don't believe we are actually getting 4G speed on any of the networks.

Lots of ignorant people here. I decided to ignore them because their brain is wired to condemn anything good about Nigeria. The problem is 80% of internet users in Nigeria don't use broadband which has had 4g in Nigeria long before carriers brought it to their networks. Broadband is cheaper and better compared to mobile data anywhere around the world. In fact, mobile data is very cheap in Nigeria compared to other developed nations because nobody uses it over there compared to us.

5G is a good development, but who really needs it now? We have more pressing issues.
