I must agree. It is a noteworthy performance.

Now for us to end up with at least a draw

They need to play aggressive in the first 5 to 10 mins of the second half, because the French side will want to quickly put pressure and technical team words to effect.
If we can hold our own with this period, the french side might just be settling with only keeping possession for a draw and we can draw the first blood.
