I wasn’t taking a jab at u. I was only saying we have been on the path before when we thought Rohr had something in store waiting to shock the world. I rate SE top 4 in this AFCON and I have said that repeatedly. Clearly shows my stance. WHEN I SEE A GOOD TEAM I SAY IT. I have hope in our U17 team than any other national team at the moment.

Icon4s:

If you have known me long on this thread, u will know I will not see a weakness in the team and keep mute.

Just a couple of days ago I was pointing out our bluntness in the central attacking position. The same Joebie who u quoted to take a jab at me said I have written off the entire team. Same person that has gone back to attack Rohr and the team again.

If there is any one that needs to have a balanced view of the team it is u the pessimists.

I see both the strength and weaknesses of the team and I point them out when I need to. But there are people here that all they do is predict doom. Not just for the SE but for all our national teams.

You can continue to write off the team if you want but please stop coming to take a jab at Icon4s any time any Nigerian team loses. Look for elsewhere to channel your disappointment to.

I'm not a prophet of doom bro. I'm just not emotive grin and I try to be blunt. I love my SE team but I believe they aren't playing to their full potential.

You don't know the strength and weaknesses of that team more than some of us do.

And there is nothing we can do from here as fans rather than to criticize but still wish them well.

Coming here to say the team will be trashed or like some that will be praying that a Nigerian team should lose. What do you call that?

Look I am not afraid of this team failing. For someone that has been following the AFCON since CIV 1984 u should know I have seen the best and the worst of how an AFCON can be.

There is no weakness that u can come here to say about the team that we don't know about. You don't need to magnify it for us to see.

We can only hope for the best for the team.

Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin city.. Renovated from astro turf to natural grass...

almost completed...

Next thing Super Eagles will shift base from Asaba to Benin now. grin

Abuja national stadium is now going moribund, We are beginning to relegate Uyo to political campaign ground, we are playing in Asaba now.

Play-play-play that was how the National stadium Lagos was neglected until it decayed to it's present state.

China playing for a draw to avoid the US. They already have a very good GD, 0 at the moment, 2nd placed team going to meet the US. Any result but a huge loss is really enough for China. Spain on the other hand are condemned to 2nd place except they lose to China.

neither the super eagles nor the NFF are responsible for maintaining these stadiums. The government that build it is..

And the best way to ensure that they are well maintained is to make sure that they are always in use... The Uyo stadium is still in good condition cus its been used by Akwa united. Abuja and Lagos stadium don't have any professional team using them..

IMO, government should ensure that the their state have solid sport foundations before spending huge amounts on stadiums...

Spain are looking more like the team playing to Win. China are just defending

Those ones. None of their national teams ever makes it out of the group stage of any world cup.

The only time was the 2009 WYC. That's the Erasmus and Maluleka's set.

Of the three spots, my prediction is that Group C, italy, Brazil and Australia's group will get one leaving two spots to share. Chile in the US group has a very slim chance, with -5 but then they play thailand. Cameron and new Zealand are contenders both with -3GD, I hope they play a draw but if one of them wins, I don't expect a 3 goal margin. Last group is with Argentina and Scotland.
But all said if we escape with a draw, no permutations required.

It must be painful for them, despite their organizational prowess when it comes to preparing for tournaments. Their plight just goes to show you that you need BOTH organization AND individual talent to succeed on the global stage
