Fidha254: I'm not doing PR for anyeffinone but EMWO1 Idk you've seen things in toto. The tri services are 24k in number with a budget of 1.1 bn$. All pay, training, operations eg,fuel, oil, lubricants for all IFVs,tanks, planes etc etc, procurement, welfare eg, health and housing come from this figure. A breakdown looks like this US def budget 2014. That figure looks good in Africa-(compare with Ug,Gh,Naij,RSA etc etc only the last outdoes us but Algeria breaks the bank!)but its actually ONLY adequate in the wider world-you can mainly maintain and train with present platforms and replace attrition but heavy metal remains a dream! This site is an agglomeration of weapons system prices-look at the new Rudra. http://nationsdawnofanera.weebly.com/-helicopters.html 15 mn$ at 1.5 mn yearly to operate. A squadron of 12 would cost would cost 180$ and another 20 mn $ yearly to operate. People always screech for FSBs like Sues but a SU 30 MK3 costs 75 mn$ and 8 mn annually-btw,I'm told M7 s Sues are sitting on the apron but can't confirm. Point being we're more or less at optimum utilisation with our budget. For more increase budget by 300-400 mn$ for 3-5 years. Then you'll see lift and FSBs.

kikuyu1:Defence Health Program $33B wah! I remember During operation Linda Nchi, after we Joined Amisom, they refused to incorporate the airforce and Navy into Amisom yet they were very crucial in the capture of Kismayu, I remember it was quoted that the navy needed around 10Million KSH a week just to to keep the boats floating at he sea... |

Fidha254: EXACTAMUNDO! That's the operational cost of little 200 ft OPVs,the Shujaa and Nyayo seen here, believe it or not. Look at Gh's def budget and numbers;211 mn$ for 14,000,Naij was 1.6 bn$ for 160,000 (how do they manage!?),RSA is 3.6 bn$ for 75,000 Algeria is 9.4 bn$ for 500,000. You do know our guys are paid roughly on par with RSA? Like I said 10% increments can be made over 3-5 years to acquire badly needed platforms but for now trust me,we're not doing badly. Edit: Many of the 'operators' we've seen here aren't actually 'tabbed' but just looking tacticool,as has been admitted. That's actually a disciplinary offense in most places but nvmd. On average it costs 200-250 k USD to train one true operator incl. attrition, since often two or three out of ten candidates actually qualify. Also units like 30th Spec Ops can spend more live ammo than regular units 20x their size! FYI,that's one of the reasons Regulars don't like spec ops units. Anyway, even a small SOC like ours takes a bite out of the budget. 1 Like

Covert1:Nigeria is rising and it is barely a news. Orders have been made, platforms are been tested and the home grown defence industry is vigorously shaking it's huge giant of africa sized D#ck in the face of doubters telling them that the forces are now strong enough to go through them over and over and over again without exhaustion. This is the right time to be a Nigerian. |

TayserMahri: I just gave you the answer for your question egyptian army is number 1 in africa by far ( any one that know a little about military know it) . and its egyptian army 2019 , i dont want to talk off topic about 1973 or even US army huuuudge help to israel or egyptian training , capacities ect. for my self in a long total war egypt VS israel without US help . again without US help . one VS one now days, egyptian will erase israelian army any time . israel cant sustain a long total war . they only can resist few days until US supply come ( my opinion ). As for algerian army [if your "you guys" refer to algeria ] i think the level of training is very intense . you can see yourself the number of big live fire exercises per year . dont think any africcan army train that much . and im sur they know perfectly how to use our weapons . 6 Likes |

Algerian1: All I was saying is you appear quite armed, 'you' implying North Africans and Arabs in general, but yet you get flogged by a tiny Israel. The paradox! I understand everything you're trying to say, ofcourse, but dont think Israel's military assistance is one way. Israel develops homegrown military technology that they sell to others. Like they built the Iron Dome defense from scratch! How many Arab nations have done the same? They are in fact the 8th largest arms exporter in the world. Just accept that Israel is too sly for all of the Arab world - with or without USA! Why would you even think Israel would want a 'long total war' ? They would never allow that. They will beat any country (esp Arab country) as quickly as possible. |

TayserMahri: The arab in general ? So for you all arabs armies are the same ? Thats a bit racist anf funny you know . and you take even egypt 1973 . well any one know a little about military know that . moroccan army is very different from algerians in all fields and differnt from tunisians . from egyptians from saudi from irakis emiratis , jordan, ..ect.. ones . totally differents from a army to another... and again little israel.cant attack or invade any big country . all they can do is defending there tiny country for few days wainting US supply . because a lot of reasons . but if you even dont know thats egypt is the biggest army in north africa and africa and egyptians army capacities which is a very basic commun knowledge for any one that read a little about military . i dont see any interest to argue with you about this hudge military subject . it will be steril debate and Off topic .especially since the subject has already been discussed several times on the military threads so lets agree to disagree . 6 Likes |

The attention of the Nigerian Army was drawn to a fallacious and concocted report by saharareporters.com on Sunday, 16 June 2019 which claimed that Boko Haram terrorists launched an attack on soldiers at a military base in Damasak, Borno State at about 7 PM on Saturday, 15 June 2019. This report is completely false in its entirety as no such attack or attempted attack by Boko Haram on Damasak ever occurred in recent times. The publication further claimed to have authoritatively detailed plans on the said attack which intelligence they purported received from a top military source. This false report has brught to fore the despicable role of some media and social media outlets who appear to be advancing the terrorists false narrative and propaganda to deceive the unwary. This penchant for mischief has been consistently observed on some media outlets, especially saharareporters.com. It should also be pointed out that Boko Haram tell such lies as part of their propaganda activities and the general public is well advised to take such reports with a pinch of salt. The general public is therefore urged to discountenance the false propaganda which has no basis on reality as the Nigerian Army continues to deal decisively with the remnants of the terrorists and clearing them from their remaining hideouts. |

Algerian1: Not at all. You are completely misquoting me. No one is being racist. There's nothing you said here that isnt basic knowledge.
You've said this before too many times as some sort of comeback in this very topic every time. Are you even serious? How can this be the argument ? As you said the topic has been argued many times lets end it here.
I knew from long time that Egypt has the biggest army in the north but this thread had been kind of changing my opinion with the sort of arsenal you have in Algeria, thought maybe with their troubles in Egypt you have been overtaking them. It was just a small question but because I entered Israel into the convo and you're an Arab (presumably) you went berserk! Either way, I also cant see the point of arguing with you on this subject when you cant accept even the most basic general knowledge things. In any case you will still have your usual unthinking rabid backers like the Sirwhoever fella above with his infantile screams. Lets agree to disagree. Continue with the pics! 1 Like |
