Pls those of u who know VI.pls recommend a hotel near the embassy for me. All this Google ain't helping. I don't know Lagos. Not Radisson blu oh. Thanks alot.

Beni gold hotel is 8 minutes away. You can book with Jumia travel to get a good rate. Least room at the hotel is 30k but I got it for 14k using Jumia travel. I had a good stay and there was WiFi too. I used an Uber to get to the embassy as early as 5:30am.

I got divorced at the customary court because I did only traditional marriage. I saw a lawyer and also went to high court and was told no high court in Nigeria will dissolve a customary marriage because they do not have such jurisdiction. Only customary court have such jurisdiction.

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing great? During my interview, the CO said my visa will be ready in a week, ceac updated twice last week, one after my interview and one on Saturday. On Monday, it changed to non-immigrant “application received”. No further updates since then, I do know the mumu june 12 holiday slowed things down. How long will it take. My fiancée is anxious for us to leave. I don pack bags already sef. Thanks all.

Secondly, please if you are having your interview any soon, please familiarize your self with the questions asked during interview. People who had their interviews today both said COs were tough( they both used the word “brutal”) and only God made it happen(they changed one CO at the late hour). It isn’t a walk in the park. You can go on vj and go to the Nigerian section and familiarize the questions, some reviews are on here too. Good luck to everyone.

Nobody knows how safe it is. Besides are you engaged or married to your fiancée? This is a K1 thread.

Please does anyone have this experience to share? What if your American fiancee has a child for you and the co gets to find out about it would that be a plus for you or would they ask for more details about the child.

All the Co wants to know is if you know your partner and if it’s genuine.

Calm down its not even up to 5 business days. Your visa should be ready by end of work today or tomorrow.

It usually takes 5 to 10 business days. Yours should be out in 5 to 7 business days since you were told by the CO that it will take 1 week.

So just relax bro. God has already done it for you.

Bro, the best thing for you to do now is to remain calm. Remember, I waited for 22 days to have my visa in hand. I was becoming frustrated sef. I’d advise that you stop checking everyday and await the text message on your phone. Or just limit to checking once in 2 days

May yours be shorter in Jesus Name. Amen.

Since he's married, he can't apply for K1 or K2. He should go for IR1/CR1 Visa (Spousal Visa)
