Please Sis, how did you get admission for a PhD when u haven't defended your project? I am asking this cus I wish to apply for a PhD for fall2020 but I haven't defended my MEd project yet. Is it possible to apply for PhD without my MEd result? Please put me through on how to go about this.

Just a point of order...but it seems we are gradually derailing the thread.
A lot of professionals are now on the thread dishing out disparaging remarks to people that just got denied without any soft landing. Even to the point of saying you will be denied again. Let's get things right.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Going through transcripts from part 7 for my own interview..I read the compiled denied visas. And their opinions were a bit mild than what will have now. They gave reasons for denial...tips for the next interview and words of encouragement.
And to those beating on people to drop transcripts it will be done on their pace.

Confirmation of the I-20 payment received. Those who needs assistance for sevis payment should contact walspring ASAP.

You sold yourself away that you could not pay for the fees. If at all you're mentioning your 10K funding, say it along with the sponsor that is covering the remaining.

DO NOT REGRET YOUR CHOICES WHEN IT'S TIME FOR THE INTERVIEW, THERE IS NO POINT.
You knew your uncle was your sponsor, but you were afraid to state that coz of the denials that have happened with it. People Get Approved With Uncle. You just need to present the best out of your situation, and do it with courage. You said your Dad when you don't have his statement.

All the responses sound cooked up... From the schools you chose & got into to NYSC & your sponsor...The VO may have noted on the system that you were not at all a genuine applicant, so I'm not sure what advice to give for your next interview (changing what you said in the next interview is also not good).

Try applying to other countries.

There is a place for soft landing and there is a place for such disparaging remarks. Let's call a spade, a spade. Some things shouldn't even be seen on a public forum at all. V.Os read this thread. Imagine someone telling the V.O that his uncle told him to lie but he doesn't want to lie, is he expecting a sympathy from the V.O? The same fellow went ahead to lie, saying he applied to Columbia University without GRE and was caught by the V.O. Does it make any sense? Our people like it hot, so anything that will make them do the right thing, it's welcomed.

This will provide access to research internships etc. I also intend to use UHouston’s international networking resources as I transition from graduate studies into a professional career. This will enable me take up research scientist roles in the industry or take up lecturing position in academia anywhere in the world. A PhD from UHouston, I believe is the beginning of a successful research & academic career. ....spoke quite fast here & demonstrated with my hands

Her body language showed she was probably expecting me to keep talking until she cut me off…lol….I just gave her short, direct answers, kept mute afterwards & stared right into her soul through her eyes.

Pls, where the "Baba dem" wey dey Houston?....I need to ask some pertinent questions.
Also, who has any idea on any airline giving flight discounts...I need the cheapest transportation to Houston....Money don finish for my hand.

I really don't understand your point.

We are in a time far different where desperation needs to be put in check to keep the sanity of the system for the good of our future.

Anyone denied that needs help have to drop their transcript that's how it was done.

All the Texas A&M's should be better than SUBR in terms of ranking and she also chose it over Florida A&M too

People still get visa daily with no funding. You just need to be able to prove you can support it
