Musa brought directness, if not Onyekuru, I would have picked Musa. I like forwards being mobile. That is why I will pick Ighalo over Onuachu and Iheanacho over Ighalo. Onyekuru has more on the ball skills and goals than Musa. It has nothing to do with liking or disliking any one.

How many chances did Chuks create?!

How many chances created by Chuks?

Chuks is not in the question because he brought fluidity. With Iwobi on one side and Chukwueze on the other, most of the breaking down of the tight defence fell on Chukwueze. With Musa coming in, the direction of the defence spread out. Play two direct players. I prefer Onyekuru because he has better on the ball skills.

I have explained to you why it was easier for Musa to create chances because the game was spread with directness of both flanks. Same reason it was easier for Iwobi to spread the balls.

Special praise goes to Ola Aina. He was just too comfortable in his role and made it look too easy. Hardly left gaps in his play and combined well with Omeruo (Young General) in his defensive duties.

I have not seen such comfort at the LB role since Celestine Babayaro and can not wait to see how Ola Aina performs on the right where he can give deadly crosses.

Taye taiwo ahead of celestine anytime anyday

Musa had a great game, dem go only suggest onyekuru ahead of him and it will not happen, they can deceive their self here, anywhere belle face

Ighalo would have been the scape goat if he didnt score, they would have said he didnt trap that first ball well

Shehu did well prior to his Injury. He attempted some Dribbles successfully. He performed better than Awaziem as a RB in the Match, yet we are celebrating his Injury.

Musa was all over the Pitch. He didn't gum himself to the Wing. He's drifting inward to supporting Iwobi, yet we are not satisfied, thus Onyekuru should start ahead of him.

Muss tracked back, supported Aina well on the left Wing, yet he's wasteful in the final third, out of how many chances he attempted..... 3?!

grin

He once had 15 goals in EPL.

And he (Ighalo) is one of the 3 Nigerian players to have won EPL player of the month award. The others were Okocha and Osaze (3x).

Nice Analyses from all Ends. I hope Rohr builds on his Ball that made him to drop Iheanacho and subbed off Mikel at the right time.

In the next Match, I hope Onuachu and Mikel ain't in the starting XI. If Osimhen is fit, I wish to see him lead the Line, with Iwobi as 10 and Musa on the left Wing.

Musa's electric pace is hard to contain, also he's not gumming to the Wing, rather drifting inward to help in the buildup play.

We've got enough Wingers in the Team, thus no need playing Iwobi as a Winger as well. Moreso, if Collins is fit for the next Match, I hope to see him play as a LB and Aina moves to RB.

Certainly Aina plays better as a LB, but we do not have Ebuehi in the Team now, and Awaziem is offensively lacking to play the position.

Akpeyi......?! I pray he won't turn to Akpere (Basket) in the subsequent Matches.

Hmmmm

Are you sure osimhen will start ahead of penghalo?

Fluidity over creativity in the final third as a wing forward?! Well-done Sir.

Shehu was not bad before his injury agreed, i have no problem in shuehu playing RB as far as aina is not on the bench

Oshimhen is a natural Striker. He's born for it. If he maintains his discipline and keeps working hard, we've got a Monster in making as a No. 9.

Musa could create chances because the game was more spread out. Secondly, he was running against a tired defence. Chukwueze did most of the work to break down in a more compact setup with Mikel, Iwobi and Onuachu, non offering directness. With Ighalo, Musa in the side coupled with Chukwueze, we were more fluid and direct.

This has been my criticism of Rohr for a while. We are better with more fluidity and directness. Not saying Musa created more. It shows you are not watching the dynamics and pointing results.

Finito.

Babayaro 27 caps in 9 years for the eagles no goals, i dont know why he could manage such few caps in 9 years

Taye taiwo 58 caps 8 goals in 8 years for the eagles, if taye was consistent in the eagles as mikel he should be the most capped player with about 110 appearance

Not a big fan of misses PenalGhalo, infact I was about slacking him for fluffing his lines when Musa gave him that great pass, but while I was still typing, the guy scored a striker's goal, so I had to delete what I had typed already.

Honestly, Ighalo's goal was orgasmic. Aina is a jewel.

Musa was running at a tired Defense..... Good Excuse to get Onyekuru in the Team ahead of him, coz Onyekuru would be running at a fresh Defense?!

Ckuks broke down which compact setup pls?! Did he create any chance? How many shots on target did he register?!

Cap in games does not signal quality. I can bet Yobo is more capped than Taribo West but he is a learner when it concerns defending to Taribo. In marking, team work and on the ball skills, Celestine Babayaro dwarfs Taiye Taiwo.

I am not giving excuses. I am stating my preference. Rohr prefers Musa and he has his reason. However, repeatedly, Musa was on the ball and made atrocious passes. It is not me saying it but his performance. I feel Onyekuru offers more on the ball skills to give us better options to score than Musa.

I have explained why Chuks found creating chances difficult. I can not force you to understand. The explanation is clear. You create more chances with more fluidity. Chuks was causing problems and the Burundi team were aware of his threats. Bringing a second direct player would create more chances. Musa brought this when he came on but I would have preferred Onyekuru because of his on the ball ability.

I am yet to see your problem with what I am saying.

Same ignorant hypocrites who said on the encounter involving the Pharoahs of Egypt and the Zims that Egypt won't win this AFCON simply because they laboured to win 1-0 , are now they ones beating their akpu,Amala, starch and akpu inflated chest shouting no team can stop them after labouring to win 1-0 also !!!!! So ironic and hypocritical beings !!!

Anyway , Black stars will definitely bankulize they super chickens when we meet . Allah, please make these heathens play the Black stars in the Quarter finals so they can gnash and lament for ages
