I feel Mikel was over worked. Doing a lot of forward plays to assist Onuachu was a bit too tasking. Mikel is best orchestrating with metronomic passes and the role today did not give him much opportunity to create.

I think Mikel should have drifted more back than forward to cause damage. Kudos for his effort.

Oga d goodjoe....metronomic grin grin grin grin grin cheesy cheesy

Special praise goes to Ola Aina. He was just too comfortable in his role and made it look too easy. Hardly left gaps in his play and combined well with Omeruo (Young General) in his defensive duties.

I have not seen such comfort at the LB role since Celestine Babayaro and can not wait to see how Ola Aina performs on the right where he can give deadly crosses.

Why fix a car already in good state? Aina is better than Collins, hence, he should lock down that LB, Collins wouldn't be a bad back up.

Exactly. Their two goals came from set pieces and both were headers.

Impressive!

They were times Aina could have given good cross but could not due to using his weaker foot. That was why he gave the back heel pass because he had to use his stronger foot. At the right, we will have a superb players giving countless passes and crosses.

We are really poor st-piece takers

Shouldn't we have improved on this by now?

True, but not entirely. Did you see Omeruo's header that was a few inches wide? It came from a set piece.

Honesty, your concern is valid, we need to work on this area.

Looking at Ola Aina's assist more closely now

A better defender would have intercepted the pass before it got to Ighalo

We really need to work on our attack if we want to go far

Akpeyi should never be allowed near any of our National teams after this AFCON

In fact, he should just watch the remaining matches from the comfort of the bench

How can one person be so unfortunate

I would still pick him ahead of Collins. Aina adjusts to cross with his right foot, yes, but, Collins who doesn't need any adjustments never gives crosses as pinpoint as Aina's.

For now, Collins should play, so that Aina goes back to the RB position, since there aint no strong candidate their, but, going forward, once ebuehi must have returned, Aina should be our first choice left back while Ebuehi mans the RB, Collins and ehizibue should be their respective back ups

After the euro u21 competition, the nff should try to see if we can get lookman, tomori and uduokhai

The men's national team needs those German boys. Tomori is not bad also.

Learnt tomori is interested while uduokhai left the door open to a possible switch of nationality. Lookman is interested too. Torunarigha seem uninterested for now

you need to see how scared I was..whenever the Burundi players come near our goal post because of the jittery goal keeper....
he will never change...he is the weakness of this team.
Ezenwa should be played instead...

both Guinea and Madagascar are fast , also they are comfortable playing long ball ... we will need Mikel to slow things down for us in our next game . if not this people will make the super Eagles gas out couple with the Egypt climatic condition
