Some people will shaa be forcing their preferred players down our throat. Nacho, nacho, nacho, he got dropped. Musa played now, it's it shouldn't have been Musa, but Henry. Paul was the highest scorer in training matches, but still, Victor should have started. If Victor was that good, why didn't he do the goal scoring? As a Striker, your job is to score. You don't get to be spared blushes. Paul was banging goals in the training, he worked his as$ out for a starting berth, but Victor who was MIA in training matches should start. You don't reap where you don't sow. That's like what we all know in this life. This is not a matter of preference, it's a matter of proving your worth. These guys proved their worth in training and they got rewarded, but now, you want your own favorite players to start at the expense of whom? We Nigerians shaa 11 Likes 3 Shares |

darkelf: Sir, no offense but what Icon4s said about you seemed to be true. You only handpick and identify the team's weaknesses alone without stating the areas they excel (at least, appreciate their effort). Since last night, you've been complaining and pointing out their flaws and more, but I haven't seen where you praised the team or highlighted their area of excellence (perhaps I missed this part?). Nevertheless, even though some of your points are fantastic, your believe in the team's strength is still highly unimpressive. Apparently, you should know by now that most Nigerian teams usually start slow at tournaments and improve with every passing game. Ultimately, I am not against your opinions, but you should try and balance your submissions. The players haven't graced the tournament just to lose - they are determined. By the way, build up and preparations for the next game have already commenced. Let's hope they correct their mistakes and offer a better display in our next match. ...The Land is Green 8 Likes 3 Shares

Earthquake3: There is more to play than crosses. Aina's movement, passes, skill set. It is not just about killer crosses. It is like what Zinchenko offers Manchester City. You do not see Zinchenko running down the flanks pulling deadly crosses but the precision in his plays is a big part of the success of the team. Jamilu is also good defensively but Aina makes it effortless and leaves little gaps. His communication and interchanges with Omeruo was also a delight to see. 2 Likes |

As far as this dilemma in the middle goes, I'm of the opinion Mikel plays the elder statesman role Kanu played at World Cup 2010. Start on the bench and come in later to steady the ship from a deep role if necessary. Also, Ndidi must learn that he's the DM. His primary job is to screen the area in front of the defense. Etebo does the Ramires-like ball carrying. Iwobi as AM. 2 Likes |

darkelf: I don't know what you really see in Egypt ,Egypt is not that of a good team ,if you are rating them because they are the host then I agree with you But if you are rating them as a good team then you are a joker Mohammed Salah ,ahmed el Mohammady and their goal keeper are the only players who will start at the eagles |

Jarus: It has a lot to do with the setup. In the way we started yesterday with only Chukwueze as the only direct player, it suits Onuachu and he showed his quality in that aspect yesterday. Made good attempts, won aerial balls, dropped to midfield to help build up plays. However, if we go with a more direct and offensive set up, with three forwards firing at will, with clever build up plays, I will opt for Osimhen. Just like Ighalo with more movement functioned better, Osimhen will even offer better movement than Ighalo. |

komekn: This guy is an arm chair analyst, I have been watching u. How come u didn't say this when he was dropped, in fact u supported Rohr's decision to drop him, back then. I was the only one who rose up against the injustice though I got a lil backing from Saint forgiveness. I remember when I said Tomori was the best defender in the championship, u said never, buh suddenly, u turned around to shrine same Tomori asking why he hasn't been approached by the NFF. Gawd!! U are neither here nor there, u are too erratic man |
