People pray every now and again. Father give us power like that of Elijah etc.

My question is,

If God gives you power, how would you know?

If god gives you power like he gave Elijah. you’d be able to argue with an atheist and win that argument, like the way Elijah defeated the prophet of baal.

But the truth is that praying to god is probably a waste of time.

The anointing is in the word. So what ever you say in line with God's word will come to pass. Note the word, say. When you are endue with the power of God, it doesn't necessarily means you must pray before it will happen. with the power of God even your present brings power. so what ever you say comes to pass
