Hello Pal,

It will be ideal if u can read the thread like 20 pages back. How can you get visa without funding block account! Am sure whoever introduced this German education plan to you must have also informed you that a certain amount of money is required in a designated German Bank before visa is issued.

However, you can opportune to go for your student visa interviewed at the embassy without funding block account. On the course of your interview you would be ask when to fund the account and give you a stipulated timeframe for the funding before your vis is granted.

Let's do more research on google as there some certain questions which has been dealt with online.

Cheers.........

Slip:
The week in which Uni-assist is sending the application to the school u will receive notification from Hochschulstart site becos the course is restricted one. During this time ur Uni-assist application status will be "Application will be forwarded to the university for further review". After 4 days u received Hochschulstart notification ur status on Uni-assist will change to "application sent to the university". Then after 2 days the university will check ur documents from their end to judge if it is valid or to reject. Once Hochschulstart notify u that ur application is valid that mean ur application is fine and it will take part in admission procedure.

Note that the deadline for application is July 15th so decision is likely to take place around end of July and first week of August (that is if u are not place on waiting list).

Best of luck!

Cheers!

TRANSCRIPT
Good morning everyone

So I did my interview today

Got to the embassy around 6:10am and I met few people at the gate. Before I continue, *if you don't have ur B.sc certificate yet, please go and get it from ur university* to avoid shout from the VO and also be very fast when arranging ur documents to avoid Paulinus wrath. So after checking our appointment letter, Paulinus told us to arrange our documents according to the way he is saying. Original one side, photocopies on two different sides. I will advice u separate ur photocopies from each so DAT u can be fast when arrangement. Some persons where sent to the back of the line cos they weren't fast. I was fast and so I was the first to go in and be interviewed. I went in and sat for a while for the signal to go in. After the signal I went to the cubicle. The VO was a fair sweet lady.

Me: Good morning
VO: Good morning
VO: What are you going for?
Me: Bachelor
VO: How old are u
Me: I answered
VO: And you want to do B.sc at that age, or is it second degree?
Me: Yes
VO: Pass me your documents
Me: I did
VO: And 3 passport photographs
Me: Gave her 2 (4got I had extra in my envelope) but I told her its 2 dats on the check list and she collected them
VO: Are you married?
Me: No
VO: Put your hands for biometrics
Then she went through my documents and noticed my B.sc certificate is not included but instead it was my B.sc statement of result
VO: Now she raised her voice "Where is your Certificate, why didn't you bring it. You don't have any excuse cos you graduated 2014"
Me: My statement is what I have with me (then she kept quiet)...oh boy..I started blasting in tongues in my mind oo while she was confirming my fingers on her system All of a sudden her mood changed to lively and friendly through out the remaining part of the interview.
VO: What is your language of instruction (now in good state, no more anger face)
Me: English
VO: What are you doing now (her mood getting more friendly)
Me: Teaching
VO: Private or Government school
Me: Government
Then I remembered I have extra passport photo, but she said no need for it again
VO: Which course are you going for
Me: Environmental and Resource Management
(She is now fully lively and friendly)
VO: What is the name of the school
Me: Brandenburg University of Technology
VO: Where is it located
Me: Cottbus
VO: Are you going straight for the B.sc program (now looking into my eyes)
Me: Yes
VO: Are you sure
Me: Very sure ma
VO: Hand me your visa fee
Me: I did....N30,500
VO: Why do you want to study this course
Me: Told her because of my work experience as a Safety officer at RCC, I was involved in waste management and safety of workers and.....then she cuts in
VO: What do you know about Germany
Me: I gave her 15 facts about Germany (she was very impressed, at least from her behavior, she showed satisfied with the things I said).....go and practice those 44 facts about Germany "google it"
VO: Why do you want to study in Germany
Me: Germany have a high quality education with tuition free universities both for EU citizens and non-EU citizens
VO: Why not USA or any other English speaking countries
Me: Their cost of education is very high even with someone having a scholarship
VO: Why not continue your education in Nigeria
Me: The quality of education in Nigeria is very low compared to Germany
VO: Who gave you this SL
Me: My brother
VO: Do you have relatives in Germany
Me: Yes
VO: Who
Me: My brother and my sister
VO: What preparation have you made for your study
Me: I applied for an accommodation, they said they will reply me 3weeks to my arrival
VO: What are your plans after graduation
Me: To come back to Nigeria and establish a recycling company( while I was talking she was smiling and laffing saying "oh Nigerians" cos she tot I was lying. Her next question confirmed my tot
VO: So you want to leave your brother in Germany and come to Nigeria( she said this while smiling and laffing)
Me: Yes......(Wetin I wan talk b4...make I say No?...Lolzz)
VO: That's all
She gave me my receipt and passport and she said I should be checking my e-mail regularly.

PRAY VERY WELL AND TALK WITH CONFIDENCE
AND BE FAST WHEN ARRANGING UR DOCUMENTS IN FRONT OF PAULINUS.....MORE GRACE!!
Cheers. Please did you wait for you AL before processing your SL?

@Kolombo88 be very careful applying for AD without AL. Someone booked last week and was scheduled 6days from the date of her interview. What does that tell u? Maybe someone cancelled and it was given to the next person. If u are given such AD, what will u do?
Anyway the choice is yours. Good luck.
L

i get your point buddy, but on the flip side, waiting till AL drops mite mean not getting AD jst in time and then visa as well, which mite result in not joining up with winter semester

Is not too late Nwanne. Most Schools still have July 15 as their deadline for application.

Bro it's obvious you're in a rush which should not be
His advice to you was actually the best
You just applied through uni assist

If it was a direct application I would have said okay go ahead and book
But it's uni assist it can take as long as 6 weeks

That is if you submitted every necessary docs because you've been asking a lot of funny question which is normal

But if you did not as much as 9 weeks
And what will be the case when you have date and someone with admission doesn't have?

Please let's be considerate with all we are doing please

I wish everyone goodluck and I hope it all works out for us.

first of all, read page one!

then know your abbreviations:
AL - Admission letter from German university
SL - sponsorship letter from Germany based friend/relative
BA - blocked account, money deposited in a German bank account IN YOUR NAME, withdrawn monthly when you are in germany
AM - approval mail, email sent to you indicating your VISA APPLICATION WAS APPROVED.
EPL - English proficiency letter, letter issued from your university indicating that your medium of instruction was English, to a level accepted in Germany. Sometimes allowed instead of TOEFL/IELTS scores.

Godspeed.

Thanks Lexi28.

Good evening landers ,do I need my original bsc certificate for interview and enrollment or can I use my bsc attestation?
It's a dicey stuff.
Well, you should be able to do interview without Certificate, but I'm cocksure your school won't enrol you if they don't see your Certificate.

Most schools I've seen will allow you apply for admission even when your Certificate isn't ready, but on a condition that if you're admitted, you must provide it during enrolment.

Please will I be able to get admission for Masters in Germany with a CGPA of 2.82?
That's about 2.6 on German scale.
It's very possible, but you have to sacrifice some things.

I'll advise that you search for schools with unrestricted admission. Also ensure you have some work experience in that field. You can also write GMAT or GRE with an English test (IELTS or TOEFL) to boost your chances.

Good day house.
I wish to commend each and every one of us who have devoted time to make sure that no one is victimized at the course of achieving his or her goal, I must acknowledge that your efforts have helped and benefited the masses. THANK YOU.
I am actually new to this family, as a Matter of fact, I just created a nairaland account tonight. I have gone through the thread the much as I can and have gotten several beneficial information. But am still left with few questions.
I got admission to study master of biological resources at Rheine Waal university of applied sciences yesterday, and I tried scheduling my visa appointment today.
During the process of applying for the interview, I noticed that some things has changed, unlike previous years, when one can apply via sending mail to the embassy, every one is expected to apply via the embassy website, I ask if it is normal?

Secondly, I noticed that at the process of filling the form, student visa is categorized into class And B.
I still wish to ask if it is normal.
Although I applied through class A, and got the email I attached here, I just wish to clarify that am on the right track.

Please if anyone else got admission to the Same course and school as mine, I will love a link up.

Thanks once more

Everything is normal my brother.

Welcome on board.

yes, 2.57 is Nigeria Gpa thanks, I'm on the Potsdam uni searching as you suggest.

pls, I won't mind more suggestion on schools and course for mass communication graduate either BA or MSc.

I graduated in 2015, I hope it won't be a constraint (the year's gaps for a second degree)at the embassy during the interview?

Your year of graduation isn't a problem at all. 2015 is just 4yrs back.
Keep searching on DAAD, you can also use Wikipedia. If you don't mind, Search out the list of all universities in Germany. Open their websites one by one. You'll see if they have your desired course.

Good evening guys.

I’m in a bit of a dilemma. My First School Leaving Cert is lost. I’ve just gotten back from going to trace it from my primary school but I found out that the school doesn’t exist anymore and hasn’t even existed for years. Is there any other thing I can do to get it as quickly as possible or can I swear an affidavit for it?
Those that have gone for interview, is not having it a deal breaker at the embassy? BA, appointment date and AL are all set. Just this certificate left.

SOS!
If your school doesn't exist again, go to the ministry of education in your state and let them attest that you attended that primary school. You can use that document as an alternative to the FSLC.

If you're unable to, just tell Paulinus that you don't have it.
As I said earlier, if the network in his head is in resonance with yours, he shouldn't disturb you.

Even if they see category B as non-priority, I'm sure they are aware that the category exists and people will book there.

I just want to encourage us to continue with what we are doing, God will surely bless us all.
My question is this, are there arts related courses in German universities that are free tuition too?
Amen.

Yes, you'll definitely find art courses. As people have recommended DAAD, please make sure you search well.
