Taribo burning top players for pace

Even in his prime, he did not do that.

A football game lasts for 90 mins not 10 secs.. A 35 year old football player would normally not have the legs to sprint continuously in a match.
Meaning Nigerian players are really strong. Its hereI see people labelling 25yr olds as old men. That they removed 8yrs from their age. I don't know what to believe again.Let me come and be going.

As in ehn. Even me the great Pessimist of this thread can't deny this fact and it is a thing of beauty.

However, the reason I want those guys to start is for their careers in Europe. Many European scouts are watching and lack of game time could mar their progress and even make them match rusty. Hence my reasons. Onuachu should take a back seat for now. At least for the match against madagascar

Just look at the bolded.... The Great Pessimist of this thread. Your words oooo.... Chaaiiii... Elf of Darkness.... Who did this to you? You sure you love the new crown you wear? Hmmm.... It has consequences ooo....

Abeg make una analyse football without this superstition of 'comparing either 1994 or 2013 to this present Afcon.

Reminds me of the painful and foolish sentimentality to came upon me as I fell under the spell of that unwashed swine called the Mystic Pig aka Marcus. Omo, I believe that pig word as if na prophet.

I wonder why the Afcon doesn't throw up its own array of animals reeling out predictions like the WC does.

Afcon Moments

Knowledge Musona of Zimbabwe dished out the worst and most pathetic miss of the tournament so far (will be difficult to see any worse than it going forward but you never can tell). Yes, he executed a beautiful chest pass that led to Zim's equaliser BUT that miss really induced amnesia in every Zimbabwean. Lol

Well, when KNOWLEDGE fails.... TALENT could have saved the day perhaps.... As seen below... grin

Allnigeriasoccer.com looks at the key numbers from the Super Eagles 1-0 victory against Guinea in their second game at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

According to whoscored.com, Nigeria had 10 shots on goal compared to the Syli Stars 8, with the Super Eagles recording four on target.

Arsenal star Alex Iwobi had a game-high three shots and his two shots on target was a joint game-high along with Guinea's Ibrahima Cissé.

Odion Ighalo, top scorer in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, was paid special attention by the Guinean defence, highlighted by the fact he was the most fouled (3) Super Eagles player along with Wilfred Ndidi, behind only Guinea's Bordeaux star François Kamano who won four fouls.

Chelsea center back Kenneth Omeruo (4), Porto defender Chidozie Awaziem (5) and Levante's Moses Simon (4) led the way in aerial duels, tackles and key passes respectively.

Wilfred Ndidi was the Super Eagles player with the highest number of touches, 71 in total, seven more than the next man Kenneth Omeruo. Guinea's Issiaga Sylla racked up a game-high 85 touches.

Of the 22 players who started the game, Stoke City's Oghenekaro Etebo had the best passing accuracy with a 92.5 percent pass completion rate.

Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon were the Super Eagles top performers in terms of dribbles having completed two each, one less than the top player Ibrahima Traoré.

Omeruo had a team-high five clearances, one less than Issiaga Sylla, and the Chelsea defender also recorded a joint team-high three interceptions along with Ola Aina

The stats contradict some people's opinions here.

"I didn't see Moses complete one single dribble" ..... Humility & company plc grin

"Etebo can't give a single pass"..... Humility & company plc grin

Sporting Charleroi frontman Victor Osimhen suffered an injury scare during the Super Eagles workout at the Arab Academy of Science and Technology and Maritime Transport on Thursday, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.

Osimhen who was lively in training today felt his groin after powering a shot past goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa in the opposing goal.

After the goal, the young striker went to the deck and was attended to by the medical team under the watchful eye of head coach Gernot Rohr.

The good news here is that the striker got up after receiving medical attention and continued with the training session.

Osimhen has yet to appear for the Super Eagles at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations but could be given a run-out against Madagascar on Sunday evening as the Gernot Rohr-led side are already through to the last sixteen.

Madagascar have moved to second on the table after beating Burundi 1-0 in their second Group B fixture played today.

the lad could just steal the show against madagascar and that will be it...

ighalo messed up with that ball.... had it been musa scored that goal; that would opened the guinea defense as they will troop out to attack and who knows ighalo would have scored his second of the tournament

Didn't the president of Partizan Belgrade say Taribo was 40 instead of the 28 when he played for them but he didn't mind because he performed very well?

LMAO grin grin grin

My experience during world cup Kai! My heart stopped beating... I was just speechless...i was sweating non stop, all my friends were trolling and bullying me Cos of the lose... grin But now, I don learn my expectations ain't high... My target for SE is semi final that is all.. If they win good if they don't... Everybody back to his various clubs...

One thing I have noticed is that we don't like the truth, we love deceit alot.. Papi Rohr is a very sincere somebody, he knows the team well and keeps telling us the fans the truth yet we tagged him conservative.. grin

You want him to talk bold and high to what extent? Super falcons coach that love talking tough what was the end result? What of Guinean coached that kept wishing to win what ends him.?

You can't give what you don't have ,just that emotions and sentiments have becloud our sense of reasoning is good to support and also good to know your level ,is like Burundi or Mauritian thinking and. Wishing they will AFCON or get to semi final grin.. That is how we dey wish during world cup thinking we have best players in the world.

I love the truth even if it hurt that's the reason I love Papi Rohr And I Am fully in support of him...

He has nothing to lose again he Don use Nigeria to shine if you like sack him... grin

I still think if Tammy don't have a break through in Chelsea during this 2 years...he may fall back on the super eagles....

but I don't think we need him... the players we need right now are defenders and midfielders....
no thanks to Aigbogun and his gang who has made it impossible for us to have a good under 20 to draw from...unlike Mali and Senegal ....
