@Bledan, this is new to me. But my advice is that you guys write a letter to the USCIS guys stating your plans. It is not a must that you guys have a detailed plan. Just a simple plan of when and where the wedding will take place and the likely budget for the wedding. What kind of wedding and who will be invited. The letter should be signed by you both. If there were any chats you guy had concerning the wedding, you can screenshot that and print, if not I think you guys will be fine with the letter. I wish you the very best.

Good morning everyone we got to USA on the 26th of June going through Philadelphia as my POE but I noticed D only question I was asked was where am I going to,I replied and the man was ohhh u re-uniting wt ur fiancée i said yes he stamped my passport den took me to a room to stay wt my kids I gave the packet I received at the collection center,den few minutes later We were called and given back our passport
I wasn’t asked to submit the other medical result given at the medical centre
Pls shud I be worried about this or not..thanks

I'm a nigerian doctor. I met this beautiful girl online November last year. She's US citizen from Florida.
We got married on her second visit to Nigeria last week.

I have gone through the USCIS website on how to get an immigrant visa, but I'd like to get further information on what I'm supposed to do in a step wise manner so I don't make mistakes.

How long does the process take? What documents should I provide?

No its not. You'll also need the Court Affidavit as well. During my interview I forgot my original Birth Certificate but luckily I had my Attestation Letter and Court Affidavit and both sufficed.

RFE mail was received yesterday and here are summary:

1. Letter written to each other after the meeting referencing the specific place of our meetings.
2. Photocopies of our passports data pages and pages showing entry & exit stamps of our meeting locations.
3. Credit & debit card transaction histories showing our different purchases when we met.
4. Affidavits of friends, Neigbors or knowledgeable associates who is aware about the relationship & our meetings.

I don’t really understand these guys. Do they loose files or something? Evidence 2 & 3 was initially attached when my fiancée filed.

Well, it’s never a problem as we will make all available. More suggestions from you all will go a long way.
I also hope the above would help new filers.

Hey guys, just got in today through Minneapolis/Saint Paul. Little questions, no secondary screening and man was done.

Hello guys, Is there anyone at the Stage of Adjusting Status (I-485)/Employment Authorization(I-765) in the U.S.

I arrived the U.S 8 weeks ago on a K-1 Visa, applied for Social security a week after. It’s been 7 weeks and I’m yet to get an SSN, even after several visits to the Social Security Office.

Secondly I got married to my fiancée and applied for AOS and EAD.. I only got a text message that specified that I should be getting a receipt notice via mail.. It’s been 3 weeks and nothing. Everything thing seems to be on the standby.

Anyone with similar delays... Any suggestions ?

Perhaps they misplaced it. I recommend you resend it along with the other documents requested. I also advice that you include a cover letter that will summarise all the documents you are providing.

In addition to documents requested, I'll advice you include any other additional documents that will prove your case. For instance you can include the following:

1. Printout of Email chats or WhatsApp Chats that has your conversations about the places you guys met in person.

2. Flight tickets, boarding passes, bus tickets, Google map printout showing where you were.

3. Receipt of purchases made when you guys were together.

4. Bank Account statements

5. Pictures of you and your fiancee with her family and or friends

6. etc

It's important you provide ID number for each of those documents and make some comments explaining each documents on the cover letter. The essense is to make the work of the adjudicating officer easier.
