A40:The CLAW is a man of his words and a different kind of superstar. Here is my take, I believe he will listen to pitches from all three teams (Lakers, Clippers & Raptors) before he makes a decision. Here is the funny thing though. Kawhi asked to meet with Magic and they met behind closed doors, however, no one knows the details of the meeting and Magic is not divulging anything. The Lakers have made it clear that Magic is not part of their pitching team and does not represent the Lakers in any capacity but Kawhi chose to speak with Magic first before the Lakers. Make anything out of it. Kawhi is a class act and he will give the Raptors a chance to convince him and that may take another week or this coming weekend and by that time, if he does not pick the Lakers, the Lakers would have to feed on the carcass of whatever is left on the board to build their bench. |

Look first take is going to be one heck of a show tomorrow A40: |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:19am On Jul 01, 2019 |
KD and Kyrie should just not give a fúck what people say and not try to prove shít. KD would still get hated as usual. Best move would have been to stay with the Warriors however, if he comes back strong, I believe he can do something in the East. I repeat, they don't owe anyone shít or prove anything. Good luck to those guys. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:22am On Jul 01, 2019 |
A40:Yup, via a buyout. Let me remind you that Rob Pelinka was his former agent consequently, I can not rule out the possibilities. Make whatever you want out of that. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:22am On Jul 01, 2019 |
Iggy getting traded didn't come as a surprise. Next season would be tough on the Warriors with KD and Klay out. Iggy cannot survive the load of the regular season with all those injuries on the team. They'll need someone in the back court with Curry. D-Lo can easily get traded should they feel the need to get someone else. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:26am On Jul 01, 2019 |
Rudy Gay resigns with the Spurs with a 2 year/ $32 million contract. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:28am On Jul 01, 2019 |
It hurts seeing Andre getting traded though. It's nothing close to KD leaving. Smart man and a great teammate. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:29am On Jul 01, 2019 |
SmooshCHN:KD has no rings and kyrie will forever be lebrons son. They have everything to prove. |

donlittle25:Shey we will not drop our highlight with some of these guys getting overpaid?? I'm ready to drop my footage. Knicks might give me a one year contract with the way things are going |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:32am On Jul 01, 2019 |
Roland17:That's true. Kobe is also his mentor. I doubt a tanking Memphis would want Iggy's contract. But man pure savagery from Golden State |
| Re: The NBA Begins by donlittle25: 5:35am On Jul 01, 2019 |
It's getting out of hand. All these mad contracts. SmooshCHN: |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:35am On Jul 01, 2019 |
A40:ahn ahn!! See how it's going to be next season. Losing two of you too scorers with that bench. It makes sense to trade him for someone who would bring some help. His playoff intensity would be missed. I don't see savagery here. It would have happened with or without that interview. |

| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:38am On Jul 01, 2019 |
donlittle25:This could wind up being one of the savviest or most disastrous contract in league history. He is 22 though so unlike CP3 and the Rockets this is a much better situation |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:39am On Jul 01, 2019 |
SmooshCHN:Iggy was going to earn $16-18M on the year. It was more for the salary space than anything. What is the point of having him for conference finals that you might not get to with load management and what not? KD could have been re-signed for the supermax simply because of bird rights. As he left, it is not like the money he did not take is available for other recruits. We could not survive and be formidable without letting off some cap space and sadly, Iggy has the most money after SC, Klay and Draymond. |

DeMarre Carrol signs a 2 year/ $12 million contract with the Spurs. This one own na to dey scam teams ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:40am On Jul 01, 2019 |
SmooshCHN:Hmmmm. To Memphis of all places? I don't know about that. He still was the most reliable bench contributor and they definitely could have afforded to hold on to him for the final year of his deal Business is business sha but I still find that move a bit fishy for obvious reasons |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:41am On Jul 01, 2019 |
SmooshCHN:If and most likely since that Raptors team will be donzo after 2020, yes he could. But if he was available to play them as they were, lai lai. That Nets roster won't do shii |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:42am On Jul 01, 2019 |
Roland17:Professional finessers full that NBA men. And this is even a cheap deal for standard NBA levels. Insane |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:42am On Jul 01, 2019 |
SmooshCHN:Not yet Uhuru. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:47am On Jul 01, 2019 |
SIRcumalot:Baba, it got to KD. From the CJ McCollum, to the Draymond, to Broussard, to Bayless, to Stephen A Smith calling his move the weakest bla bla. It got to him. KD has always courted being loved. When he stopped being loved, his wins and rings meant nothing to him. Someone convince me how this move takes him above Bron. How? You and I know that team won't win a pin. It is not like they will have one crazy ball movement that will shake the NBA. Kyrie has shown he is not a system player and KD knows scoring 40ppg is not the secret to winning. He just increased Lebron's odds of another ring. He resurrected it like Jesus to Lazarus. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:51am On Jul 01, 2019 |
I feel for KD though. He for just close and forget these haters cos they're the same people wanting Kawhi on the Lakers. You can't cheat nature. He has been a nice guy from the onset. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:51am On Jul 01, 2019 |
ipledge10:Don't worry the honeymoon will last for all of next season. Then he comes back and the Nets are not on course for 60wins and watch how the media will say. He is not a leader and not as good as Bron. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:54am On Jul 01, 2019 |
TheCockroach:You are overestimating Kawhi's desire to help your queen. Remember a certain PG13? Me neither. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:57am On Jul 01, 2019 |
SmooshCHN:See how Bron is unashamedly trying to recruit Kawhi. That is the edge he has over KD. Lebron mentally is tougher. He is very tunnel-visioned about his ambition. He is chasing the ghost. He needs rings like Thanos. How he gets it, he does not care. KD is playing passion of the Christ without miracle-working abilities. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 6:05am On Jul 01, 2019 |
That being said, I will miss Andre. His defence. His loyalty. His intelligence on and off the court. His leadership. Selflessness. |
