Are you poor? The church of Christ is not meant for the poor.. You are allowed to come in poor, but it remains a taboo to stay poor... If you know the definition of being poor, then you wouldn't have based your decision on that... And Ogbeni i am no fan of coza, the pastor and his wife, but have zoomed that outfit a few times and u see nothing absolutely wrong with it..

The church of Christ is for salvation and soul winning,

Beside the rape matter, honestly that dress is decent and covers the lady properly.

So this long work does not fit well all for a decent dress that is not revealing in any way.

Kindly keep your puritan leverage for the true situation reserved for people whom are indecently dressed and also the lady does not have dress so heavily like other christian mommies.

uote author=Felixamos post=79857027]OK... I'm in no position to codemn or judge anyone but seriously!! A so called wife of a pastor wearing such gown on the altar!! Preaching!! No wonder most of their members come to church in their club outfits.. When you see a church that has its prime goal fixed at getting members and making money without a single iota of spirituality exhibited or preached by the pastor or the wife, if you know your Bible well enough and love the truth, you would flee from such places.. Just like I went for a choir audition in one Church, I passed the audition and was supposed to robe with the choirs the next Sunday service. Now this is an upcoming church oh! With dope instruments and instrumentalist(I give it to them) but I backed out when I went for one of their services and heared the pastor saying in quote "this church isn't for poor people" and I was like seriously!! (an upcoming church).. My story could be uncalled for but this is the extent some so called churches have reduced spirituality to. They don't care about their responsibility which is to help souls make heaven. What some of them care about is their pocket.. And they would rather lie to you and make you stay in church than tell you the Gospel truth without minding if it would make you leave and sadly enough, most of their members don't even consider this things as canal.. Just like how most of the members hailed the pastor of that church I went to, when he said "it wasn't for poor people"..

Quote the part in the Bible where women are forbidden from teaching a congregation. Those were man made laws. Women who were followers and disciples of Christ existed and they preached the gospel. Christ was not sexist.

Pastor Omodele Fatoyinbo, wife of the Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo on Monday said God will give her husband the grace to know what to do.

She spoke at the commencement of the yearly special program of the church tagged Seven Days of Glory.
Mrs. Fatoyinbo said this while delivery her sermon at the church auditorium in Guzape, Abuja as the lead pastor following the stepping aside of her husband over a rape accusation.

She said: “God will make us rich. His right hand sustains my destiny. God has made Modele and Biodun rich. He looks down to make you rich. I am telling someone today that God is going to enlarge you. You will enjoy grace, you will experience an expanded grace. Decree over someone tonight that in your house receive an expansion.

“The work of my hand is expanding no matter the situation, from ocean to ocean. The grace to complete your assignment, the grace to know what to do, God will give our senior pastor.”

Despite protests that greeted the rape allegation against the founder of the church, Biodun Fatoyinbo, hundreds of church members were present to grace the annual program, which was low-key.

The atmosphere was calm unlike Sunday when protesters almost disrupted the service with various inscriptions.

The special program COZA7DG usually attract several international pastors.

This year’s edition was meant to host Pastor John Hannah, Pastor Korede Komaiya and Prophet Gideon Danso before the rape accusation.

None of them attended due to their development.

Fatoyinbo stepped down on Monday morning following the outcries over the accusation. The embattled pastor was not present at Monday’s service.

From the Amplified Bible

James.2.1 - My brethren, pay no servile regard to people [show no prejudice, no partiality]. Do not [attempt to] hold and practice the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ [the Lord] of glory [together with snobbery]!

Jas.2.2 - For if a person comes into your congregation whose hands are adorned with gold rings and who is wearing splendid apparel, and also a poor [man] in shabby clothes comes in,

Jas.2.3 - And you pay special attention to the one who wears the splendid clothes and say to him, Sit here in this preferable seat! while you tell the poor [man], Stand there! or, Sit there on the floor at my feet!

Jas.2.2 - For if a person comes into your congregation whose hands are adorned with gold rings and who is wearing splendid apparel, and also a poor [man] in shabby clothes comes in,

Jas.2.4 - Are you not discriminating among your own and becoming critics and judges with wrong motives?

Jas.2.5 - Listen, my beloved brethren: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and in their position as believers and to inherit the kingdom which He has promised to those who love Him?

Jas.2.6 - But you [in contrast] have insulted (humiliated, dishonored, and shown your contempt for) the poor. Is it not the rich who domineer over you? Is it not they who drag you into the law courts?

Not everyone is meant to be rich and not everyone will be rich! God can decide to bless you because he wants to use you and, he wants you to use that wealth to help others! Not to display obscene wealth, steal and lie!

Do actually read the word of God The Bible says He dead poor that we might be rich it also says I wish above all things that you live in good health and prosper even as your prospers. My friend you can’t be a Christian and remain poor I repeat a Christian not a church goer because most people go to church hear the word and don’t make practice of the word....For your information the tithes are meant for the pastors.... The Bible says bring your tithes into the store house so that there would be meet in the house.... child of God please study to show yourself approved

If the husband is stepping aside, he should hand over to someone other than his wife. Biblically, husband and wife are the same so in reality, he’s still the one in charge. He will still be running the church through his wife.

I think it is time we take another look at the regulatory/governance codes that was proposed by the former head of financial regulatory council of Nigeria. Churches must not be allowed to operate solely at the discretion of GOs. All churches must be mandated to have clearly defined administrative structure with a well planned succession line. GOs handing over to wife’s and their kids should be disallowed.

If there was a well defined administrative structure in COZA without the overbearing influence of the senior pastor, it would have been easy for the church to handle the matter and even sanction the pastor.

Lol it’s for you as a Christian.... Jesus was speaking to his disciples not the in Matthew 28 vs19-20 “Goye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
T‭‭eaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭that’s the great commission the church of God is to teach you and bring you to the understanding of Gods word...God’s word does not talk about salvation and soul winning only it entails a lot each time you win a soul it is accounted for you and not your church....
