3rd placed Benin eliminated 9 pointer Morocco
3rd placed S/A eliminated 9 pointer Egypt

3rd placed Guinea would be facing 9 pointer Algeria, should we expect the same?? cheesy

I agree. I hope Samu starts.

Against the speed of the southies, we ought to start fast players like Chukwueze, I for say Onyekuru too, but make we manage Musa.

Ighalo is good to go as a forward, but Osimhen would be nice towards the end of the game.

Those who tipped Morocco and Egypt finals ...Football is not mathematics. Egypt got points and lost in round 16. Morocco got 9 and went home ...Next is Algeria ...

Lol

I tipped Morocco but I didn't tip them to go to the final

As for Egypt ? I never tipped them

Ogu is a midfielder too oga.
kingphilip:
presently our 3 midfielders are Iwobi, Ndidi and Etebo

And injury or suspension to any of them won't do us any good

Rohr and the players have themselves to blame if they don't get to the final.

Nigeria deserve better than Rohr.
The Nigeria manager’s time is up.
With a bunch of young, hungry and talented players at his disposal, the former Niger
Republic coach has failed to deliver the good football the team is capable of.
After three years at the helm, Rohr’s team still lacks cohesion and is devoid of
tactical discipline. The round of qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup is around the
corner and a competent, world-class manager who can take this beautiful team to
the next level should be in charge.
Call Arsene Wenger to come and take over, I'm sure you'll be able to pay his bills

Yes as opposed to Onuachu

I just have a feeling that we should start Onyekuru instead of Musa. I don't know why undecided

ANS Chukwueze rating.
Who else noticed this? I did

Modified.
But I thought they brought Anguissa on immediately

Samuel Chukwueze : Brought on for Moses Simon and his pace and trickery brought panic in the Cameroonian bench as Clarence Seedorf and Patrick Kluivert brought on Andre-Frank Anguissa to nullify his threat. 7/10.

I don't take ANC ratings seriously. Don't ask me why.

Pinnic just promised all the players $20k each for winning Cameroon.

I hope the extra $10k+ is from his pocket?

Yes they are good

But what I have learnt from this AFCON is that the way a team plays depends on their opponent

For example, although Camerron had been playing poorly, they played well against us today. SA may not play same good football against NGA

However, should we underrate them, we do so at our peril

Thank God you know Cameroon have been playing poorly

Or are you not the one saying they qualified from a tough group as if you expected them to be eliminated ,when 3 teams can qualify

If we play fast game with SA, we go suffer, we need to slow them and rush them in their defence. Bonfere script in afcon 2000 is a good guide.

I would have liked Onyekuru, but no way Rohr will start Onyekuru and Chukwueze in the Quarter-finals

South Africa are familiar foes.

At least our boys will not shrivel at the sight of an Egyptian crowd or Mo Salah for the Quarter finals. Den go see people wey dem sabi

Please, Akpeyi should sit out the SA game, the last time he faced them, he was auditioning for Kaizer Chiefs and collecting 2. He may still be traumatized....thankfully, the fellow that traumatized Omeruo has been retired.

Meanwhile, someone was talking about three North African teams finishing with 9 points? Two of them are now down, Algeria to go

Mo Salah cannot do anything even if we meet them

Egypt is not a good team ,south Africa will be tougher than them

The Egyptian crowd means nothing ,a crowd that didn't even shiver the South Africans

Football is a team work jare

Because we had experience players that have played big games at the highest level.

We had Mikel, Onazi, Echiejile, Enyeama, Yobo, Musa and the guru Victor Moses.

Agreed

Now who do we have that have played top game ? Nobody ,only injured mikel and musa

I think omeruo is still fearful

This is because Rohr always make them feel ordinary with his yeye "humble" statements.
Goke7:
Just heard kanu's interview on radio. He said the boys were panicking but imediately they got their confidence back the game was there for the taking.

The question is why our boys so fearful? This was what cost the game against argentina.

Our boys were not this fearful under keshi and they are not as good as this current team

This is why i want rohr out. We deserve better

The likes of Samu and Onyekuru will be useful against Mzansi. They have a role to play either from the bench or starting.
I have a feeling Moses Simon and Musa will start again.
