Sincerely, That Madagascar defeat was a blessing in disguise... Our path is very clear for the finals now. I don't know whether to say Rohr is a very good coach or a very lucky coach. But he ooze success especially in African football. He will leave Nigeria with his head high. Nobody can take that away from him...
baba no path is clear anywhere.... inasmuch as I hate southi, the team I watched in the last 30 minute against Egypt no be moi moi....

But Dem go chop-am grin

If Egyptian fans were Nigerians;

So Salah cannot even do anything, We've said it that he only thrives when they work for him

This Coach must go!

The national team must be disbanded!

Those who tipped Morocco and Egypt finals ...Football is not mathematics. Egypt got points and lost in round 16. Morocco got 9 and went home ...Next is Algeria ...

These "away" games suit South Africa. They can surrender possession and hit on the counter. They are not so good when they are expected to be on the front foot.
Exactly. Rohr is not going to go all out against them. I just pray we don't let them score first.

We should not be complacent!
This SA team is very good.
However, this time around there won't be Gascammer to save them!
Thank goodness we lost to Madagascar!

Yes they are good

But what I have learnt from this AFCON is that the way a team plays depends on their opponent

For example, although Camerron had been playing poorly, they played well against us today. SA may not play same good football against NGA

However, should we underrate them, we do so at our peril

RSAs football today was orgasmic.
The flip side though is that the home fans in Egypt will be massively against them. The AFCON has finally come to life

South Africa are familiar foes.

At least our boys will not shrivel at the sight of an Egyptian crowd or Mo Salah for the Quarter finals. Den go see people wey dem sabi

Please, Akpeyi should sit out the SA game, the last time he faced them, he was auditioning for Kaizer Chiefs and collecting 2. He may still be traumatized....thankfully, the fellow that traumatized Omeruo has been retired.

Meanwhile, someone was talking about three North African teams finishing with 9 points? Two of them are now down, Algeria to go

Just heard kanu's interview on radio. He said the boys were panicking but imediately they got their confidence back the game was there for the taking.

The question is why our boys so fearful? This was what cost the game against argentina.

Our boys were not this fearful under keshi and they are not as good as this current team

This is why i want rohr out. We deserve better

Because we had experience players that have played big games at the highest level.

We had Mikel, Onazi, Echiejile, Enyeama, Yobo, Musa and the guru Victor Moses.

They beat us at home but it took 2 fake offside calls for them to escape defeat in SA.

Their away strategy works so well. That is why they beat Libya too.

Too poor with crosses. Look at Cameroun's first goal- a delightfully floated pass and bang it was in. Simon Moses runs out of ideas in the final third. Contrast with chukwueze who twice picked out our players amidst the forest of players . I was impressed.

Is this in regards to this particular game or all the games he has played so far?

Ogu was the last thing on my mind?

Against SA, we need to score first.

If we do, we will get opportunities for more. They are better when they are not chasing a game and can just counter.

Seriously, I dont rate Egypt. They look so ordinary to me, even with Salah. Though, naturally, I dont wish SA prevails, just to humble their deluded fans, buh, deep inside of me, I strongly believe SA can defeat Egypt with the crop of players u have now. Ur quick inter-change of passes mesmerise ur opponents, If u guys could be more creative and lethal, then watch Egypt fall.

IronGalaxy do u remember this post from yesterday?

Nigeria deserve better than Rohr.
The Nigeria manager’s time is up.
With a bunch of young, hungry and talented players at his disposal, the former Niger
Republic coach has failed to deliver the good football the team is capable of.
After three years at the helm, Rohr’s team still lacks cohesion and is devoid of
tactical discipline. The round of qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup is around the
corner and a competent, world-class manager who can take this beautiful team to
the next level should be in charge.
