You forgot to include Non refundable tax credits that reduces the tax to be paid. I think you are exaggerating the taxes. In some cases if your income is low, you end up not paying any taxes. Someone who earns like 12,000 /annum will most likely end up paying 0 taxes, and whatever taxes deducted will come back as a tax refund.

Any one that earn less than $30k is living below the poverty line. I did not exaggerate the taxes, that is amount you pay before the non refundable tax credits. And the non refundable tax credits don't significantly reduce the amount of tax you pay.

You know how our naija people do You have to think long-term-the average real estate price ranges from 300k-400k if you don't want to live in a ghetto neighbourhood that you can raise your children in. You need a household income of at $80k to be comfortable if you plan on acquiring a house or Condo. Ideally you want to have a household income of over 100k.

small change in Western countries. Why not invest the money here and over time it grows. You can then afford to travel to Canada, Dubai or anywhere else for leisure, rather than to be just menial worker or even a criminal with all the risks involved. Even if offered a position as CEO of Shell I will not return back to Nigeria to live. When you live in Europe or North America, you will realize peace of mind for you and you family members is more valuable than money.
You don't have to worry about kidnappers or armed robbers when travelling on the highway, you don't need armed guards protecting your house, walk anywhere at 3am in the morning without fear, if your sick and you call ambulance you know they will be there within minutes.
Every profession is respected and adequately rewarded-policemen,teachers and firemen are some of the highest paid people in the country and make $100k plus.

i have just shown how someone with about a minimum wage job working 40 hrs per week can earn 25k after tax per annum and save 500dollars montly. It can be done if smart..... With the savings (s)he can acquire certifications or lucky enough to get high paying job. No matter how much you earn ,without financial discipline , you can become broke.

Op if you are single, that money is enough for proof of funds for Canada Express entry. Read through the Canada Express entry thread, you just need at least a year of experience in relevant occupation, language test(IELTS) and education to be qualified. Read through the thread and try to understand what I am telling you. You can do it yourself, you don’t need agent and the 4m still belongs to you, you just need to show the Canadian government you can take care of yourself before getting a job before they can issue you a permanent resident visa.
