Have patience. It will come. The 6 months is a guideline...some are shorter, some are longer. You're closer now than you were in January.

Zara01:
Hi guys,

This is for anyone who wants to boost their score by writing the BCS Certification in IT.

I know some people are looking for more information about this but they haven't found any so I've taken it upon myself to post this here.

I spoke with their head of customer service and below is the official message from them:

Thank you for contacting Compunet Limited the approved centre for British Computer Society (BCS) in Nigeria with proven records of outstanding performance from our students.

BCS has three levels:

a. Certificate in IT
b. Diploma in IT
c. Postgraduate Diploma in IT.

Please note that the CIT level is enough to earn you additional 37 points in your CRS for the Canadian immigrants.

The exams are taken every March and September and the pass mark is 40%.
The CIT has three modules/courses which are introductory courses to Computer Science or Information Technology. With or without Computer background with all the necessary support from Compunet Limited you can acing’s the three modules. We have trained secondary schools and they passed.

For Canadian immigrants, is recognized, accepted and evaluated by WES as a One-year certificate program. Hence it can be added to whatever degree you had to claim Two or more certificate with additional 37 points.

The three courses/modules for the CIT level are:
a. Information Systems
b. Software development
c. Computer and Network Technology.

The total cost of training for the three modules/courses is #150,000.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE A VERY ROBUST ONLINE PLATFORM FOR DISTANCE LEARNING STUDENTS.

#50,000 for each of the courses. With this you will get all the recommended textbooks, past questions and answers.
Condensed training materials (video, audio etc.) for all the courses. You will be added to our WhatsApp group for each of the courses where materials are frequently dropped, questions answered and 9 hours weekly classes takes place.

Membership annual fee costs 37 pounds, then each module cost 40 pounds each.
That’s a total of 157 pounds naira equivalent of about 75k depending on the exchange rate at as when you are paying.

This is the best time to register for the training because the next exam is for September

Registration for the exam ends 25th July.
Exam is either 16th - 17th September or 17th - 18th September at British Council in Lagos, Abuja and Kano.

If you're like me with no background in IT, be sure to check their website for past questions to practice with and study hard.

Hope this helps!

Good day fellow Canadians grin, (please let me confess what I want). grin

I have a question though and kindly do not refer me to page 1 or google because I already did.

I need to get transcript for IJMB to enable me submit my application for ECA with WES. I couldn't find any information online regarding this. ABU Zaria doesn't have options for IJMB transcript on their website. Has anyone journeyed this path? Please help me.

Hard to say. It's entirely left to VO's discretion. No two applications are the same and no two VOs are the same.

Stencil:
There aren't any risks. They just need additional documents for verification purposes. These are typically documents you already submitted with your application. Eg: Pay-slips, Bank statement highlighting salary deposits, Family information form and Schedule A.

Hi,

U need to visit IJMB office in ABU Zaria. You would write a letter attaching a copy of d IJMB result and it would be sent once you make the required payment.

You would also pay for verification. Try and get d contact of someone in that office for follow up.

Hi all,

I need help please. I am a B.Sc holder but I did Cambridge Alevels before going to the university. I am about to do my ECA with CES. On their website, adding A'levels is optional. If I add it, will it in anyway increase my points?

Guys, I'm new to this thread and the PR application. I'm just wondering how the forthcoming elections and possible change in government will affect the present PR process.

You don't need BCS if you have a masters degree. People doing BCS are people with on;y a Bsc degree and are doing it because they don't have a masters degree or a post graduate diploma, so the fastest thing is a short course such as BCS. Bcs will not add to the point your masters has given you.

transfer to your own mutual funds.

Thanks for your response. My concern is that I got an invitation to apply to a province and I have to show proof of funds. Don't want it to seem like I just moved the funds for that purpose especially since I am required to print the statement of account to back it up. What should I do?

Salute to every member in here that has been making the thread stand out as always.
Una boy "wasseynewest" apologise for his absence all along guys.

Like we all know, Canada na "Pay as you go grin" so man has really been trying to integrate. But rest assured, in my own little way with my indefatigable co-tutors, we continuing with our IELTS gospel and thank God that for every IELTS results released, we do have sizeable numbers of our students crossing the greatest hurdle & making the cut.

If anyone is still in doubt whether this journey is worth fighting for, I bet you it's gonna be a decision you will never ever regret if you hang on till the end. In fact, your offspring will be 4ever indebted to you.

As funny as it sounds my people, that's the pure truth guys.
It was a matter of Writing IELTS 123456789&10 btw myself and wifey but finally, here we are starting afresh and enjoying our new lives in Canada.

Our boys are first to integrate, we know how kids can be na smiley while Wifey, a Chemistry grad. who was unable to get a #1 job in Naija is now gainfully employed. Me too smiley? Doing just fine with an establishment that pays way better (and less stressful) than what I used to earn back home.

So guys, no matter the challenge you facing right now, I tell you giving up on this dream should be your last option.

No Pain, No Gain...........#Bemotivatedguys

this is so encouraging. thank you for these words. God bless you and yours.

That score is very important. The immigration officer at the port of entry will request for it. Any one that scores less than 5 will be asked to pay some amount of money before he/she can be allowed to enter Canada.
