How would this have sounded?

1. When I met her SHE had no place to stay. SHE was sleeping on a couch at a friend’s house. And I knew.
2. SHE found a place later on, and I helped paying HER rent for months
3. I got HER HER first car ever.
4. HER laptop got damaged and SHE needed it so much at the time so SHE could work on HER things in order to earn something. I gave HER MINE.
5. I covered most costs for our dates for a year.
6. I invested in HER first two businesses together. And opted for HER to run them full time
7. SHE never met MY mom until when SHE brought HER family to meet MINE
8. I celebrated and congratulated HER for any penny SHE made at the time, even when it was as little as $10
9. I supported everything SHE was trying to do to make ends meet. Whether it earned HER money or not.
10. Though SHE IS very stable and all that now, SHE know I DON’T really care about those things. I care about HER solely. SHE knows I’d give HER anything in the world if I had to, coz I HAVE proved it over and over again

Maybe he didn't communicate his thoughts well. Different strokes for different folks anyway. She has done so much for him and he is now comfortable but he is still getting married to her. The story usually ends differently. He could probably still be in shock at how much sacrifice and selflessness he got from a woman and just had to share.
