The other day when I was arguing with my friend about Nigeria development, he said "At least we are better than some Africa countries".

He really think we are some kind of developed country in Africa standard? Lmao. I think many Nigerians are like this, if we really know how undeveloped we are and how we can never developed if we stay as one, we'll start begging for division.

1) Nigeria has the poorest people in the entire world.
2) Nigeria has the most out of school children in the world.
3) Nigeria can easily be called the most terrorised country from boko haram to bandits to herdsmen even Isis are starting to come to Nigeria.
4)our electricity is easily the worst in the world, some African countries are miles ahead of Nigeria
5)our currency is among the worst in the world
6)we still practice child marriage
7)our very own developed Lagos is among the 3rd worst city in the world.

I named these 7 bad things about Nigeria without even looking at Google.

A divided Nigeria will solve 70% of the problems for the southern region. The worst part of it is that Nigeria will never be better.

Nigerians are generally detached from reality.

An example is the OP.

Ask him if his little community has a maths society, a theatre group, a horticulture group, a yam research team and he'll talk about government.

Ask him why the last book he read was in SS3 or at best the works of his favourite pastor.

A society that spends more man hours discussing politics or secession or even Big Brother, is destined for failure.

you want people to discuss maths when they haven't seen food to eat.

Politics and secession in the only way out of our misery that's why most southerners are interested in it

90 percent of Nigerians have an IQ of below 70 which means they can't properly evaluate anything and thats why many of the them think Lagos is a developed city and they think Lagos is better than Accra in Ghana or Nairobi ..One day I had to prove to a guy that Liberian dollars had much much value than the naira and he was shocked .. this low IQ is why an adult Nigetian will go to a supermarket and pick things worth 12 thousand naira while he has only 2000 Naira and when he gets to checkout he will now start telling the teller to drop many things and causing a queue ...Many Nigerian still don't know that Nigeria is more Dangerous than most places on Earth today so much you will see them saying they don't want Nigeria to be like Sudan but in reality Nigeria is a far worse position than Sudan in every index ..Another Fallacy Nigerians like to deceive themselves with is the claim that Nigeria is a rich country while in reality Nigeria is one the poorest countries on Earth

I know a guy who works as a sales boy in Switzerland, he is being paid 3k per hour( in Nigeria currency) . He works 7 hours a day.
Which is 3,000 X 7=21,000 a day.

Monthly will be 21k X 25 =525k + allowance of 500 every hour.

Tota= 787,500 .

A year he should have =787.5k x 12 =9,450,000.
That is enough to get settled, marry and start a family.
But here in Nigeria, you will see a man earning 10k a month married to a woman earning 5k a month.
Tell me, can they give their children / child a better life?

Our system here in Nigeria is very poor.

Someone earning 50k feel like he is among the richest. lol

Instead of waking up early in the morning, having a bath and straight to work to please the boss, who would pay peanut as salary.

It would be better to be a footballer or a boxer.

The fact still remains; there are many Nigerians who are willing to do hard labour to earn massively, but how to get such Jobs is the problem.

Food security, quality of life, stems from human advancement.

The issue is that many of you are too lazy to undertake critical reasoning or to ponder upon your every day challenges.

Even today many of you are using sniper to preserve food.

Many of you complain about power supply but no single research from any of you on how to harness wind or solar energy, which you have in abundance.

Your society is plagued by erosion but none of you has conducted research in your locality on how to manage erosion.

Your only pastime is APC, PDP, Naira Marley, Big Brother.

Think about it, it is ordinary football that the private sector in the UK turned to a billion dollar spinner annually and you are addicted.

Till today, 99% of the articles in your wardrobe are imported, yet you complain about government.

Was Shakespeare waiting for government?
Was Bill Gates waiting for government?

Is government not made up your brothers and sisters?

I typed something totally different because I misunderstood your text in a way. Nobody, I repeat nobody earns 3k naira an hour in switzerland, that is equivalent of less than 10chf per hour, 8 or thereabout. the lowest earners in chf earn nothing less than 20chf per hr. This is the lowest of the lowest. So know where you got your facts from.

Op, i used to think like most nigerians until i travelled outside nigeria. These days i don't even bother arguing with some people regarding the state of nigeria because until those people travel out, they'll never understand. Nigeria is a shithole and the hausa fulani are worst set of people on earth to be stuck with in the same country.

We lack a good systerm. I am an entrepreneur and i know what i am going through. The systerm is not encouraging at all. We are not asking too much from government. All we ask is a conducive business environment

I agree with the OP 100%. The only way this country would maybe develop is by dividing it, we are too divided as a people to grow in any capacity, if religion is not blocking it, tribe is.... That's why the country is moving backward.

thank you. Just imagine a country with only south west.

There won't be boko haram, Isis or herdsmen menace, there will hardly be tribalism and the Yorubas will get to dictate how they run the country.

There will be unity and the development of the country will be their ultimate goal

As we speak INEC is using National Resources to fund a lawyer to go to court to deny that a process they laid down ever happened. The whole country knows about these processes but they have sent their lawyer to go to court and deny it anyway

That’s how backward Nigeria is
