This is the Orji Flyover built few months back by the immediate past Gov of IMO State.
When some well meaning Imolites discovered this deliberate death trap positioned by the past administration to end some lives. They called on the Governor of IMO state,Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, for intervention.
Immediately, Ihedioha intervened and closed that flyover to save lives. But some miscreants were blabbing that the flyover is in good shape.
Note, this is the same flyover the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, commissioned about 40 days ago.
Today, action has commenced on that flyover so as to save the lives of IMO people plying through that flyover.
IMO is moving forward under Ihedioha's watch.

what you see above is another substandard project from Rochas just like his roads which were destroyed by acid rain lol
I repeat, why embark on a project that will not last decades just so you can score political points? Obiano's 3 flyovers are still standing strong, Umahi's rural roads are of high quality made out of concrete so they last decades, Sullivan's bridges are still standing strong till date, Rocha's own which is the newest of them all is caving in.

1st of all that flyover was built 3 years ago as proven from this thread but you should also realize that Ihedioha has group of boys he pays to destroy projects done by Okorocha. Visit Concorde hotel road and drive towards 3rd inland road you'll notice one the streetlight pillars they attempted but failed to demolish at night. People are vigilant in countering these destructions they now look for every opportunity to actualize. Government is not about trying to destroy works because you hate the builder.

Ihedioha suspends salaries of alleged illegal workers
By Collins Osuji, Owerri
07 July 2019 | 3:55 am

Ihedioha

Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, has suspended payment of salary to all workers employed into the state civil service from January 2018 to March 29, 2019.
Ihedioha said employment of the affected workers did not follow due process, as stipulated by law, adding that his government would not condone illegality of any form.

The Governor directed the Head of Service, Alma Eluwa, to workwith other directors in the state civil service, to ascertain those that merited their employment.

He also constituted a panel to investigate and fish out all ghost workers, as part of his efforts to sanitise the work force.

This decision followed an allegation made by Labour leaders, led by the state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Austin Chilakpo, who met with him at Government House, Owerri on Friday.

Chilakpo said: “We have records of people, who illegally got employment and promotion during the past government fFrom 2018 to May 2019. Illegal employment went on in the state to the tune of not less than 5,000 workers. Let the Head of Service say it is not true, and we will come up with evidence.

“Also, some were even promoted to Permanent Secretary without merit. This is why somebody on Level 14 was promoted to become a Permanent Secretary, whereas we have people who are on Level 16 and have been in that position for years. This is not fair.”

The state Accountant General, Casmir Uzoho, confirmed the allegations of illegal employments and promotions.

When are Owerri youths beginning to pressure gov Ihedioha for more flyovers in Owerri, as they pressured Ohakim and Okorocha?
Result: political flyovers.

A fly over is very expensive to build and normally built on a junction involving a high speed road.

None of the junctions in Owerri where flyovers were built needed a flyover. They needed only a big roundabout or traffic lights.
Owerri youths think that flyovers are symbols of Mega City. They blackmail every gov to build flyovers in Owerri. It gives them the false impression that Owerri is developing like Lagos and Abuja.

Rain floods due to uncompleted urban drainage system wreck Orlu, but Owerri is not disturbed, as it forces governors to waste money to build unnecessary flyovers in Owerri.

Because Orlu people are mostly docile.

show us what Ihedioha has done since he was sworn-in as governor and leave these propaganda of crack roads. The mistake Rochas did was not to iron bars to prevent heavy duty vehicles from passing through it.

This is something Ihedioha can repair without going to the media.

Stop ranting up and down. Was it Ihedioha that brought the pics to limelight? So you don't want the substandard projects of Okorocha to be showcased so that when they collapse in the nearest future, people like you will come out to blame Ihedioha for lack of maintenance.

I think you are just like Abagworo, a Nairaland-based defender of Rochas.

It's better a governor doesn't construct a project than build one death trap in the name of flyover.

That thing is not worthy to be called a flyover.

You don't see any issue here other than repairing a "3 year old flyover?" Is it not governors like him that built flyovers that are still standing strong for over 9 years now and trucks ply on them?

Every infrastructure needs repairs and maintenance to last long. Let's put politics aside and be realistic on this issue. Some other States have experienced such issues and sometimes even worse challenges but it was tackled instead of being turned to focus of politics.

https://www.nairaland.com/1268089/slaughter-bridge-port-harcourt-collapsing

One observation you could make out from the threads was the focus was on the need for the Governor at that time to repair the bridges involved while this one is to demonize Okorocha.

lol as usual. Comparing mediocrity with mediocrity. Comparing Odili's trash to that of Rochas is quite disappointing from you. Why have the flyovers in Onitsha not collapsed since they were created? How many times have they performed routine maintenance on them?

Well the flyover in Onitsha also collapsed but wasn't still made a reason to demonize anyone. Instead the present Governor fixed it

Shut up useless old man. Nkpor flyover never collapsed because it was properly built, it was one of the approach lanes that was eaten by erosion and immediately it was fixed. It is never the same as the substandard shabby Owerri flyover that started collapsed immediately it was completed.

There's no single project done by okoroawusa that's standing today, is it the Owerri culvert tunnel? Which one of them.

Okoroawusa failed woefully as a governor. Stop defending a failure. You should be ashamed of yourself

These are all okoroawusa signature projects that failed almost immediately after completion because they were all substandard shabby projects.

Nkpor flyover was threatened by erosion and the state government came in quickly to solve the problem, was it also erosion that damaged the top of Rocha's flyover? Stop defending mediocrity Abogwara.

Nearly 2 months after assumption of office reports from Owerri say Ihedioha has still not done anything except fighting Rochas Okorocha who left over 59 billion Naira for him. Yesterday he was said to have shared over 750 million Naira among media influencers not to project his programs but rather to give false and bad reports against Okorocha. Today he was said to have hired demonstrators against Okorocha who has not said one word against Ihedioha since May 29th and he has also been attacking Uloma Nwosu who is the 1st daughter of Okorocha that owns businesses in Owerri.

I'm highly concerned if the Ihedioha of a man has any good advicers or he is doing all these in his right senses. Whoever might know him from our dear State or a bit close to him should give him advice to stop chasing shadows and start work.

No amount of propaganda can change the fact that okoroawusa failed WOEFULLY and wasted 8yrs despite debt of over 250billion he incurred. There's no single project done by Okorocha that is standing today.

Ihedioha should just speed up the probe of okoroawusa and jail him.

You would have been in a position to argue if you were from Imo State but I guess you are not so you probably rely on media in your assessment of Rochas. He has thousands of projects standing but you are only shown maybe 4 to 10 out of 2000 projects as his only projects. Subtract every bad project you can count out of 2000 which can at most be 100 meaning 1900 others are still standing and visible including just these 4 I have here
