The preceding verse that I quoted gives the proper context:

"Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son. If there come any to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed" (2 John 1:9-10).

If you are abiding in doctrine of Christ, you will have God the Father and you will have God the Son and you will also have access to the Father through the Son, not through your GB. We have access to God through our Lord Jesus Christ by His marvellous, infinite grace if we abide in the doctrine of Christ, not in the doctrine of any denomination or society.

vs 10 tells us what our attitudes should be towards heretics who denies the deity of Christ but pretend to be a follower of Christ, that we should not entertain false teachers into our homes. And apostle John even went further. He said:

"For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds" (2 John 1:11).

He said if we support him in anyway or form we are partners with him in his deeds. If we become partners in that which denies the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ and all that He is and stands for and all that He did for us, if we are supporting that kind of thing, God will hold us responsible for it.
