But the man is right. He shouldn't address the press since his case is already in court. Speaking in the presence of pressmen is as the same as addressing the press and it's against the ethics of the court. Lawyers in the house should correct if I'm wrong.

He's not addressing the press but the committee. If the law allows the press to be present during their committee meetings, you cannot fault them.
If he were addressing the press, he would have control over what he releases to them. In this case, he is not the one in control and will only answer questions/ give explanations when asked

One thing is most of the people judging this man Abbo are just hypocrites. This guy has apologized on air. Majority of those senators are thugs. What is the difference between a maze thief now a distinguished senate VP and this Abbo guy? The guy has the right not to address the media and so he said. Are these not the same senators throwing chairs, jumping fence causing national embarrassment? Now they are claiming respected personalities. For the guy to apologize on air he has admitted his errors. So all of you calling for his head, you are worse off. BTW, the senate can't sack him and court can't sack him either.
