I am a Bonafide Nigerian and I love the Super Eagles

In the beginning, I had doubts about this team but they are gradually winning me over with their attitude on the field of play

But I know one fact; everybody cannot say positive things about the Super Eagles all the time. We are created different and we think differently.

Hence, it only makes sense to respect the opinions of others no matter how silly they may sound.

Granted, we give each other a hard time here by yabbing and making jokes about our wrong predictions and what nots but this should never degenerate to insults.

Some of us here have a hard time swallowing the opinions of others and cannot make intelligent arguments without insulting the other party. Times without number, I have called out some of these people. While some apologize and retract their statements, others remain adamant and choose not to admit their wrongs.

I want to believe we all possess a level of intelligence to converse on this thread and what differentiates the mature minds from kids is the ability to question opposing arguments with facts and without rude remarks.

I am calling on us especially those of us who are elders to act accordingly:

You don't have to reply every rude remark.

You are not in control of the other persons thoughts and opinions; positive and negative

I also want to believe that you (the agggressor) don't feed the aggressee neither do you clothe or pay his house rent grin grin. So the person can oppose you when he wants albeit intelligently.

It is nothing brother, I'm here for relaxation and I see this thread as family thread. We fight and we reconcile .I'm just happy you are beginning to show faith and signs of light on SE. Nobody knows it all include Papi Rohr. I saw him as someone that's ready to learn in every game. He's more connected to the fans and the players

My target for SE is semi final. We are already in semi. I really wish we could win this trophy.. It will go a long way in helping Nigerians after poor performances in all our age grade competitions from male to female.

Let us do this together! Win or lose. #SoarSuperEagles

This is one of the most laughable....

Komekn stylishly hyping a bang average Solanke all because Origi was loaned to Wolfsburg keeping Osimhen on the bench whenever the lad was fit.

They say Osimhen is inferior to Solanke all because according to them, Solanke chased Origi out of Liverpool.

Same Origi who returned and have chased Solanke out while Osimhen went on to prove himself the real deal in his first full season without injury palava.
What did Solanke do with his Liverpool time? 1 goal in 27 games.... What about his time at Bournemouth? Nothinh to show for it...

Yet in Komekn's eyes, Osimhen is well below Solanke. How he chided Osimhen was another evidence of stinking selective bias.

The enlightened Greeks bestowed their knowledge on the barbarians such as the roma people, and it took centuries but the romans learnt and used it. The barbarians took over Rome again and the centre of civilization and development shifted to the east, the Islamic caliphate, while Europe was basically in the doldrums, the dark ages before the knowledge was repatriated back and led to the renaissance and later the industrial revolution.
I can posit what happened to us but it will just be my theory on it, I do not believe there is something wrong with the black man
All these peoples you mentioned were not conquered and subjugated for as long a stretch of time as the black man. The greeks never conquered the Romans, indeed many greeks were themselves slaves in the Roman empire. Rome absorbed the philosophy, the science, the arts and architecture of the Greeks at their own pace in accordance with what appealed to the Roman soul.

Romans waged war against the Germanic tribes as can be seen in ceasar's memoirs but they never succeeded in entirely subjugating them such that as you have rightly mentioned the germanic tribes later on sacked Rome and the center of civilization shifted to the eastern half of the empire with constantinople as the center.

The Arabs were not conquered and brought under the heel of

In all of these the elements of civilization was absorbed even by the Arabs and not imposed.

From Africa to the Caribbean to the Americas the blackman compared to other races has clearly not lived up to his potentials. Even in America the black community is bedevilled with peculiar problems. I see essentially see it as one of the effects of derailment of the path of development we were trudging before the incidents of slave trade and colonialism.

I'd like to know your thoughts as per what happened to us. Perhaps you can open a thread so we don't derail the thread.

Mikel/Onazi (2013)

or

Ndidi/ Etebo (2019)

??
Mikel/Onazi slightly edge it because they complement one another. Reminds me of Cazorla/Coquelin partnership. However, peak Mikel paired with this Ndidi will be by far the best midfield in Africa.

Why can't Rohr start Ighalo and substitute him at 70 mins to enable us see what Onyekuru offers?

Afterall, Ighalo has been given lots of opportunities in the GWG that is making Rohr and other Nigerians feel "we don't have options".

In the game against Cameroun, it was clear to all that he was effective in the game, but same can not be said about the South African game.

My problem with Rohr is his inability to make changes when it's due.

Ighalo was not having a good game against South Africa, as it normally happens in football. Why not try Onyekuru or Osimhen? It's either they

perform or they don't perform. Ighalo was not performing, so the "risk" ( quote and unquote) was worth taking.

Fear not about Mickael2's historical perspective. In Nigeria's last five games with the Algerians we have won four and drawn one (the one chalked off as a 3-0 loss due to player inegibility).

Nigeria under Rohr went unbeaten for two years plus after that shocking home loss to SA in Uyo.
That loss woke us up and erased any tendency to be complacent.
Now that seriousness waned and it needed an upgrade and forward came another team we were expected to floor but we got floored. Madagascar became the new South Africa and humbled us.

Since that game the team has been super serious and it will only take the next two years plus for this fire to wane again.... So my friend, fear not... It is only two weeks or so since our loss to Madagascar. E never reach a month sef... Algeria is meeting us at a very bad time.

Nigeria will go unbeaten again against Africa opposition for the next 730 days at least since the Madagascar loss.

Also note that at the AFCON, we are correcting an error and re-banging our qualifying opponents from the last two years.

Guinea got beaten for denying us a ticket to 2012 Afcon. Cameroun got beaten to further reinforce our supremacy shown during the WCQs. South Africa got beaten to show that the Uyo loss was a huge fluke and that their 1996 win was an error. Now Algeria will collect their own L too as reminder that our latest wind of dominance over them akin to ours over Cameroun is here to stay.

This cup is coming home for a record 4th time. The new golden generation takes her first bite of a title and it shall be glories from henceforth.
