Playing to coach's instruction but failing to apply discretion

The fact that a coach tells you to use your speed from the wing and drop ball for striker does not mean you do that in every situation.

Musa is perfect for that Unselfishness. It Ighalo that needs to help to put the fish in that net.

Ighalo have the hight to be a fisher of ball

No, he passes to no one. He doesn't pick anyone to pass to. He just pass the ball hoping that a SE player will be there

The only sensible guy here, musa's end product is terrible, doesn't knw when to pick a pass and tends to jst lay them and hope someone, somehow connects it

ighalo should effectively cover the zone the ball is passed to as a top striker

The problem is positioning

When Musa runs with the ball, the super eagles strikers should immediately go and POSITION themselves,so that when Musa crosses someone is already there to finish up the job.

Pls pass the message to Rohr.

They should give someone else a chance to play that ighalo position.
Ighalo plays well when he is not starting.
He looks like someone that likes reading the match before entering the field

And who said am not watching. You think it's easy to play football on the pitch. You all sit back and be talking as if you can do better. If the op is that good of an observer why not direct the post to his instagram or twitter handle so he can see it himself.
The main point is that the observation and advice is uncalled for on NL if it will make no difference.

Ighalo is the only problem we have in that team. He waste opportunities a lot. I don’t know WhatsUp with rohr and not replacing him

replace him with that useless Onuachu? Ighalo is bad but we don't have replacement for him so far...

Ighalo is really a poor finisher. His movement in the box is really poor.

Don't say this again. That he didn't score against A/S doesn't mean he doesn't knw how to position. His positioning against Cameroon was exceptional ... He is the best as far that front line is concern.

Musa passes the ball too early to Igahlo who is either marked out or yet to get into good position. Musa shouldn't be too excited to release the ball early. He should show discipline and contain his excitement.

What is speed without intelligence?

Oga u dont need to comment if you dont understand what op meant.. Which one is Nigerians can't be satisfied again. Read comments and understand.. No one is saying his unselfishness is bad. But he should try and utilize it well if thats what he wants to do. Several times he just cross the ball that even ighalo self can't quickly pick it..

Well I'm not here to argue with you about who plays football or not. I do play football very well. It's what I do for a living. The op was trying to fault the difference between the musa we are seeing now, and the one we saw at the world cup. There are have been moments where we do want musa to shoot, but he prefers to cross to igahlo. We thereby lose the ball.

EditLord:
I watched the Nigeria South Africa match and I was a little confused as to why Musa was subbed when there's high chance that we might head into extra time. He gave that South African defence some troubles, same as Chukwueze.
The problem is our number 9 lacks positioning. Ighalo was nowhere to be found when Musa crosses.

Meanwhile, please I need someone to help me with business plan on photography. I need to submit it urgently, abeg make una help me
olekumaster@gmail.com
have you heard of pin point pass? I think you and Musa including op don't know it

And the defenders will just sit and let them position cheesy grin.

Musa simply doesn't know how to pick out players with his passes and crosses. He just puts a cross into the box and hope which isn't the right way. A winger should look up to see his teammate to put a cross to.

How many crosses and assist does Musa have for his club?
How many goals does Ighalo score for his club with his so called poor positioning?

Musa does the same aimless passes and crosses for Club and Country so don't blame strikers.

Ighalo lack positioning, always hiding behind defenders. I guess he he trying not to touch ball to avert blames if the ball gets to him and he wastes it. He can't even hold the ball well , he does not even chase ball well. when played from the goal keeper to him. Onyekuru will be far better and active.

seems you and English are quarrelling. read the post again

musa is a finisher, he had curve speed, strength and attack. there are some chances I was expecting R2 kick from him

he should man up beside he's the captain, we need not to misuse chances with our next opponent

As long as he plays well, that's the most important thing.
When Ighalo was selfish against one of our group stage opponent, we started complaining but now we are complaining that Musa is too unselfish. Come on Nigerians!
Musa is playing good football for Nigeria, he just need to learn to shoot at the right time. He could have scored two goals in the early hours of the SA game but he made the wrong choices. He makes too many wrong choices. Funny enough, only young and inexperience players do that so I'm surprised that he is doing it too. I was expecting that from the likes of Chukwueze but it's the most senior player in the team that is making the mistake!

Have you noticed that Ahmed Musa is being unselfish the but the problem is he passes the ball to ighalo who either waste it or the ball is passed to no one in particular

Please let someone tell the coaching crew this
Go and play for super eagle and convert every chance you get. Even amhed musa himself misses chances. Northerners don manage get one core northern star 4 team and we no go rest or hear word again.

Go watch rashidi Yekini clips and see how many our greatest No. 9 wasted.
Re: AFCON: Ahmed Musa's Unselfishness Is Causing Us Problems by Nobody: 9:30am On Jul 12, 2019
Ahmed Musa's problem is his indecision in front of goal. Doing too much at the wrong time, and doing worst at the right time.
When you expect him to score, he throws a wayward cross, when you expect him to cross he seems to shoot at bodies. The coach really need to talk to him on this. He should start shooting when he finds the space for that, and crossing pin point balls to the free strikers.
Who notice that Ahmed Musa rarely raises his head up before crossing the ball into the opponents box. You don't cross to a striker when you barely can't discern the exact opening he wants the ball.
