When the camp is done, you will be posted to your various PPA's(that is if you don't redeploy/relocate).

This process just like any other process in Nigeria can be influenced with the right amount of money.

Belonging to some groups like being the head of the band team, being your Platoon leader and platoon executive can work things in your favour so you get the best PPA's located in Ilorin, Omuaran or even Offa.

If can't put in the work, make your money do the job.

If you are sharp, you will notice the figure heads who can influence this process especially those in the ICT department. It might cost you within 10-20k like during my time.

If you are like me who doesn't care about were you get posted too, just keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best while expecting the worst.

This camp made me understood that corruption has eaten deep into the Nigerian system much more than I even imagined.

Be courteous and respectful to everyone in camp especially those you see in the kitchen and your Platoon inspector. Most of them are Local government inspectors in their respective local government and they will be in charge during your monthly clearance and every other activities within that LGA.
thanks a lot for this...
pls how reliable re the ICT guys for redeployment

very very reliable. They are the ones in charge of allocating PPA's. So it will be easier to tweak things in your favour. Were you posted to Kwara?

Ok guys. Sorry for the delays in posting, camp has been stressful.
I went babe hunting yesterday and I made it a point of duty to talk to 5girls and get at least 3phone numbers.
I actually have this affinity for Alhajas especially the ones from the north. I met a beautiful girl by name Hauwa from Niger state. This girl fine die. For now i still dey water ground before food done lol.
The reason why I gave myself that task is because i have issues talking with girls not because I am scared but simply because I am just uninterested.
Carrying out the task was tasking at first since it was something I wasn't used too but after the first day, it became easier even though I still develop cold feet from time to time.
Today was my convocation day and I was avoidably absent. I had a chance of returning back to school but declined because of the financial and physical stress involved. I wish the 2017/18 set a prosperous future ahead.
You know, I was actually thinking about redeploying to Lagos since that was where I was born and brought up. However, I wanted to experience life from the usual hustle and bustle of Lagos. I wanted to see how different people lived life. The most important reason is that I didn't qualify for the redeployment by NYSC rules which states that one can only redeploy based on marriage(mostly for the women) and health issues. I am not married so do not satisfy the first condition and for condition two, people are telling me to runs it with money but then what manner of sickness do I want to lie about and knowing that we would be tested for those said sickness in the medical report. This is kind of ironic because earlier we submitted medical fitness report so how come the medical report?
Nigeria is just country where anything and everything goes with the right amount of connect and money. It is really sad seeing people who are hale and hearthh lie just to redeploy.
Enough said. I have an appointment with Deborah my NYSC Benue babe this evening. Catch you guys later
Op weldone o.

Oh thanks for compliment. Ensure you start the redeployment process ASAP. You know Lagos is a hot zone and get filled up quickly. With about 60k, the process should work out. Success bro.

[quote author=calculator123 post=77129079]The NYSC camp has been a bitter sweet experience, it was made interesting by my new found friends here and bitter by the hectic drillings and innumerable boring lectures.
Every morning at exactly 6am, the Nigerian flag is flown at full mast and at exactly 6pm, it is lowered down. I can't really explain a reason for this just my observation anyways.

The temperature here can rise to as much as 45°C during the day which assuming we have say 20acres just mounted with solar panels, would go a long way in reducing the epileptic power supply we presently face here in Nigeria. I believe this project is actually feasible.
I am presently at the welcome party and I seriously uninterested in it, I am an introvert and I must confess I have lost lots of energy for the past few days.
I have nothing against party but they aren't just my thing.
Did you see azezco is here charge your phone?

if I understand you well. Let say you were posted to Kwara and you redeployed to Lagos. NYSC either gives you a PPA which you can reject or better still get a company in that new state to give you an acceptance letter that you will take to your LGA Office.

Oh gbugbu, that’s why you said Lafiagi is better. I hope you are enjoying the Market in Gbugbu and the Fulanis.

My stay in Lafiagi was very interesting lol. I served in that College of Education. But bro, The Crazy Journey from Lafiagi/Gbugbu to Ilorin every weekend was very stressful. Babaloma to Shao, Tsaragi to Bacita, Patigi to Baruten. You should embark on those journey before you complete your Nysc.

The palm wine inside that market in Gbugbu, I no day miss am ooo. 1-Z inn and bar for Lafiagi nko.
Chai!!! It was very interesting. Bro Chop am well because the balling for that side Is the cheapest.

And if you would choose Ilorin as your balling location. Just go to westfield hotel inside Adewole estate. Suya joint in front of Alhikma university. Tanke(tipper garage).

No dull am bro

Kwara State Government on Thursday delivered four hundred new mattresses, two hundred double trunk beds, ninety wooden benches and several consumable drugs to the Yikpata Camp of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), in a concrete step to make the camp liveable for the graduates deployed for the national service.

This comes just a few weeks after Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq paid an unscheduled visit to the camp in Edu local government area of the state, calling it a ‘penitentiary that is not fit for human living’ and pledging to urgently rehabilitate the camp to make the users more comfortable.

The Governor, who visited the camp on June 19, had also apologized to the NYSC members and said the condition at the camp represented the general breakdown of basic infrastructure in the state. He said the visit to the camp was a challenge for him to make things better.
