Good day my people. How many times can one retry a call?

I was able to call review a call once, na 2 I end up with o.

I have even gotten a warning.

Last last if them sack me, I go register again. I'm optimistic though.

Read the FAQ but as a newbie, avoid Funding Circle UK calls and possibly CLH. if you get 2 consecutive 2s or 1s, take a break and re-evaluate the rating notes + the FAQ. it's not by gra gra o.

Hello guys, I don't know what I did wrong. I tried the first transcripttion test but was told that I didn't pass the exam.

I started the writing by using the guidelines on the first page. Someone should put me through on what to do to overcome this stage.
NB: I didn't paragraph it but the necessary punctuation were done and it is comprehensible when read

I'm returning a call from David. Hi David, in your message you mentioned not being able to login to the platform. We have a 'forgot password' link on the sign up page, but I can also reset your password. Which would you prefer? Great. So, you’ll receive an email in the next few seconds with instructions. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. I also noticed you have a pending invoice but in an account credit that you haven't used. Would you like me to apply your credit to the invoice? That would lower your bill by $15. Great, I'll do that now.

thorrvik55:

If you've applied before and you failed the transcription test, to apply again u need to use a new email. Once u apply again and u are directed to where u will take the test, simply refresh ur browser continuously till u see clip 6 (the test audio). Then copy and paste the quoted text above and submit.

N.B: Passing the transcription test is the easiest part

Hi Jeremy, I want to go back, glad we could connect. More than anything, I want to make sure we find time on the calendar for a short demo, I think if you and the other stakeholders see the product in action, they'll be able to understand why we're able to make such grandiose statements. If we're not able to improve the efficiency of your sales force by at least 10% in the first month, we have a full money-back guarantee.

This a good time to talk? I know we connected briefly last week and you'd mentioned needing to check with your wife since this is an investment. Did you two have a chance to discuss? There's no rush on the decision but the Labor Day promo we have is almost over. So if you want to take full advantage of the savings, tomorrow is the last day to sign up. Like I said before, registration is free. The only fees you pay happen once you've purchased an equity or annuity on the marketplace.

Hey, yeah, so you asked about discounts? We don't really offer any to our monthly members, but we do have 5% discount off the annual package, considering you've been a member for nine months and might make sense to switch over to in the annual package, we can prorate the previous nine months. Is that something you'd be interested in? Happy to make that change for you.

The last 2. Just saw my errors which I made though it is not much. Is there any timeframe to attempt it?

Thanks for the heads up. My head is already clouded due to the setback. I will try the registration once more tomorrow.

Like thorrvik55 said, passing the transcription test is the easiest part.

Setback is when you spend 8hrs transcribing a 26minutes audio and you don't get paid just because you missed 2 audio secs and what was said was "hello".

This one is nothing. It's even better that you are joining at a time when you're allowed to make corrections to transcripts and resubmit.

There is no timeframe per se. You can open another email address and try again to get onboard immediately.

You will get motivated when you get paid for the first job.

You're welcome.

if i am to make corections on a job i have submited before, is it that i will repeat the job afresh by transcribing from the begining and insert the corections or i will see what i have typed before and then make the corections where needed?

I get discouraged when I get a bad rating. My first earn was like winning a lottery grin but it was more about a sense of accomplishing a task.

If you're allocated 5 hours to complete a 10 minute audio, just know it's FC UK call. But, for CLH Lawyers, it's not easy to detect until you've picked the call.
Attempting FC UK as a newbie and especially using a smartphone (unless you're good with British accents) is a good way to waste effort.
Don't be in a hurry to submit a transcript, ensure you can you've been thorough.

Good to know the thread is back. I just spent the last hour reading through. I wonder why the last one was closed, though.

Let me add my drop in the ocean of contributions by the chiefs in the house.

*removes cap in humility*

We've already been given hints on how to avoid some problematic calls, let me add a few pointers from experience.

1. Avoiding calls longer than 5 minutes will reduce your chances of picking **** calls by 80%, and *** calls by 30%.

2. Assuming you're ambitious, which I'm guessing you are wink, refer to previous post about how to identify *** calls. For example, a 10 minute call in which you're given 5 hours (+/- 10 minutes) is definitely ***.

The issue will now be, how to tell a *** call apart from others. In theory, tougher calls are given more time to complete, and more payment incentive. So, bearing this in mind...

To cut the chances of picking *** calls by up to 50%, check the highest expected pay rate.

If for that 10 minutes call you see $1.99 or more (that's $0.2 per call minute pay rate), it's definitely ***. But if it is about $1.96 upwards, it's 50-50 chance. A lower pay for that call further reduces the chances that it's ***.

The only caveat to this rule, I noticed, is when and only when it's *** season. Like it was, some time last week. But for ***, the rule is unmistakable.

PS: *** is British, while *** is American. You should try to work on *** if you get it by "mistake". You enjoy the benefit of higher rate just like ***, but at reduced stress.

Happy transcribing.
