Most, if not all of these groups u mentioned here politicized thr movements for whatever reason they formed. Of course the world will agree with u that they are Sunni since they originate frm majority Sunni countries; but hv u seen their religious practices? Many of them could not even recite Fathir... some of them engage in what all Sunni scholars agreed to be unacceptable under the sect they claim they belong. Whether or not they get funded by some particular states is an issue of dispute. Talking about the Shi’a group frm my own enlightenment over many yrs, I strongly believe they should not be allowed to be mixed with any Sunni majority country, reason being that the ‘enemyship’ btw the two will spark big disasters for that country (which is exactly what is going on in Yemen at the moment). And ppl who don’t even know anything about the great division will get caught in between, which is is what I was saying to those who ‘don’t know wa is going on’! Can Sunni and Shi’a live side by side without any problems, I doubt it, especially as long as the rivalry btw Saudi and Iran continues to exist. My take

Shia Muslims are very peaceful , many people dont mentioned that they have been protesting for nearly 4 years now peacefully , when ever you see violence then you will find out that police attacked them . They are the ones that save the lives of many in 2011 post election crises , they save many Christians and i remember Boko Karam attacked Shia Muslims in 2015 . Boko Haram are created from Sunni Wahabi sect they have nothing in comon with Shia Muslims

They seem peaceful because one, they are still very young in our society and very small in number. Two, they want to be favoured over the Sunnis by the rest of the country (just like u are already doing now); which is why they are doing all the eye service for now... question is are they being given directions and funding by the larger Shi’a states? Of course yes! That tells u they are on to something.
My own worry is that when they become big and strong, the purpose for which the are formed in Nigeria (which is to use our country as a proxy for attacks and rivalry) will begin to emerge. By then it’ll be too late to repel because innocent ppl like urself, as well as the Christians u think they are helping will pay dearly!

It means you are not aware of Nigeria . The man with more than 20Million followers in Nigeria , the pioneer of Shia Islam in Africa you are asking how did he get followers . His movement started for the last 40years .

majority of religious people both Christians and Muslims are what the core adherents would call baby Christian or baby Muslims because they hardly know their holyscripture etc. bit that does not mean they are not a part of that religion or denomination. so yes that they can not recite the quran does not mean they are not Sunni.

as for the shia, i think it would be good if they are present in Nigeria in substancial number. the reason being that the rivalry between them woikd break the political hegemony the north has on the country because the Christians now will have a way to divide and rule the northern hegemony. this means that the south will have more chances at the presidency. and of course, a southern presidency will mean more development for the country as we have seen during the preaidency of southern presidents.

i am an atheist from the north central so i have to be objective here.

as for the country will be on fire, i don't think that would be as the power would now be on the side of southerners and they would know how to handle the issue. there are shiites and sunnis living in the same country in the middle east.

and i forgot to mention the Taliban and Hamas. they are a sunni organization and fonded by the gulf states
