Mistakes Are A Part Of Growth And Learning. Every Individual Should Have A Record Of Some Mistakes Made. Imho, Boarding Experience Will Allow You Grow Faster In So Many Areas Of Life. I'll Always Choose Boarding Again If Given The Choice.

Is it advisable to send my wards to boarding schools?
I have observed almost all boarding school Graduate are stubborn..

Your opinions please!

Thats not true of them being stubborn

If your ward attends missionary school boarding, he or she will learn how to be independent of themselves

It teaches you on how to stand and take a decision without your parents aiding you

It gives you the privilege to do things on your own without looking for help
You
It programs you and gives you timing for everything

In the mission schools like Catholic schools, if your child fails, that child must repeat unlike the private boarding homes that doesn't want your child to fail for fear of losing their students

But in private boarding school, it's show of class and power where parents display their affluence on their children

Boarding school nowadays is nothing but a camp where girls are groomed to be harlots and lesbians while the male becomes ruthless and gangsters of any kind, their colleagues who is from a corrupt family background will just take advantage of them and initiates them into the world of sodomity.

Boarding school

your children are at risk of being homosexual,

It's product are easily influenced by school mate.

In mathematics and physics boarders from my experience usually learn thoes subject during the holidays from home,
while the day students rest during the holidays, so what is the need of being a boarder if it is just to reduce parents stress it is not worth it. In today's world.
Many of our kids learn mathematics and science from home not school.

And one great advantage of been boarders is that they are more social than the day school children.

Get your facts right. From your write up, it is quite clear you never went to a boarding school.

Boarding sch was for our forefathers and they enjoyed it. Now boarding sch is just full of cruelty, violence, stubbornness, and God forbid,HOMO

u know nada

1. I Never Snuck Out With You.
2. Was It Every Student That Committed Those Acts??
I Went To An All Day School First Before Attending A Day/Boarding School. During Friday Sports At The Day School (Owned And Managed By A Deeper Life Pastor), I Occasionally Saw Some 'seniors' Smoking At A Hidden Spot. It Had Nothing To Do With Boarding School, But Rather Bad Parenting Skills. Most Of The Bad Kids (Slay Queens And Cultists) In The Universities, Were Day Students. Yet They Acquired These Bad Traits --Even Under The `Watchful' Eyes Of Their Parents.
As One Leaves The Boarding House, A Certain Realization About Life Dawns On Them. This New Realization About Life Guides Them In Both Making And Taking The 'best/right' Decisions Most Times.
I attended a boarding school in Nigeria and still turned out good.

The problem is with the girl child, you're better off sending her to a day school. Send her to a boarding school and she's very likely to become a lesbian or runs girl, every lesbian I know went to a boarding school, it's not a coincidence. In my previous compound two lesibians lived in one apartment, there was this time they invited there lesibian friends for a week, all sort of noise was coming from their room at night. There was this day these girls had a fight, before we knew it they picked up weapons, Knife, bottle, planks and using all sort of cult slangs. They all went to the same boarding school, the oldest amongs them is 20. I'll never send my girl child to a boarding school!

You Should Also Seize Their Phones, Laptops And Communication Gadgets Cos The Exposure From Those Sources Alone Are Like 1trillion Times Worse Than The Boarding House. Bar Them From Talking To The Neighbourhood Kids And Church Kids Too Cos They Might Be Too Corrupt For Your Innocent Kids. Home School Them And Set Cctv In Every Living Space To Capture Their Every Act. Plant Listening And Recording Devices On Their Clothes And Properties Also.

Lame Excuse Imo.

I'm a proud Alumni if USS Ode-Aye. my experience while in boarding school has helped in quite numbers of way, especially when I gained admission into the university.

1. if you finished from body school, there will be an urge to always study hard, which will help you when you gain admission into higher institution. reading is a trait that's already been incorporated into every student that finished from boarding school. there, reading class is very compulsory for every student.
2. hardly you will see an ex boarding school student that is lazy and wake up by 7 or 8 am. coz they used to waking up as early as possible for morning devotions and doing hostel chores. it will surely help them in the higher institution
3. Boarding school student are very wise and not easily taken in by any for of hanky panky. you cannot cheat on them. they're super smart.
4. They're always neat. coz in some boarding school putting on shaggy clothes attract punishment. so even after leaving the body school, majority of them still stick to that.
5. They are very rugged and can thrive anywhere without relying on their parents, can adapt to any condition in life without being weighed down
6. they learn how to manage food, money and others they have. they're frugal
7. they're not addicted to social media, coz in most boarding school, using phone is prohibited.
8. they can't be a victim of any form of immoral television program that is common nowadays. coz they are closely monitored.
9. offers a great opportunity for student to discovered their talent. like sporting activities, music etc
10 boarding school can help your children to build the leadership instinct in them.
Dear Sir, all these attributes cum traits you mentioned I have them and even more, but I was never boarder. Meanwhile, my younger bro' who was sent to a unity boarding school in SS1 turned out worst, but we thank God for His life... IMHO boarding school (especially in this present dispensation and era) is a big disservice to our kids.

i wont say boarding school is not good because i went to one myself but boarding schools of these days are way different from the ones we attended way back, i can tell you 85% of lesbianism/gay started from there plus lack of home training and all, you just have to think about it very well and choose a school you're 99% sure it is okay in terms of moral upbringing

But I have boarders from arcross the best schools in Edo state under my care, who is now in the best position to evaluate
Note that the best way to evaluate a boarder is to have some in a school that have provision for bothers and day children

Homosexual and lesbianism started from boarding schools.

Think twice before sending your kids to boarding schools.

I went to a boarding school starting from JSS1 - SS3 at 10years old.

I will never send my child to a boarding school because such made me TOO independent, too secretive, too hardened, not caring or minding about certain things, relationships and people and too wise. That stage is where you need to be close to your child and groom him/her. That is a delicate stage where you can impact a lot and monitor them.

Talking from experience, It is not advisable.
