I was once in your shoes. I had HND and applied. They replied me that they don't accept HND for masters degree. I enrolled into PGD in Nigeria, completed it and reapplied. I was accepted.

Aalto will not admit you even with HND and PGD. Anything less than B.Sc is a red flag for them.

LUT don't accept HND for MSC oooo

Please what's the duration for PGD?

They accept open university. So I advice you go for B.Sc in Finland if you don't want to enrol in PGD in Nigeria or open university in Nigeria
Do you mean starting all over in open university?

And this is a classical example with regards to my earlier post.

"I submitted some docs available at the time but not all." This "could" mean means NeeYoh did not submit ALL the documents needed.

When your application to study here starts taking long despite having scholarship, it simply means you did not package it well. It might take long (some are still positive) bc the outcome variables rest on their hand if they are convinced. But if you package your application well, their hands are forced to give u whether they like it or not.

Thirdly and most importantly, if you are using a sponsor, your chances are like 50-50. There are so many documents and loopholes migri can exploit to deny you and you might get confused on what to present. The best way still remains self sponsor.

Self sponsor for a prospective undergraduate student? Who's 24? Hope that wouldn't be a problem as to how the students got the money sir? Asking for my sake.

Sure but you have to establish how you generated the funds; inheritance? Employment? Business? Each of these must be well documented, A will, employment docs, business registration (CAC) + receipts+invoices etc.

Good morning everyone, thanks for your comments, advise and solutions to issues here. Please, i intend to apply for my PhD in Finland. Here are my questions
1. Does the free tuition covers my experimental research during this program?
2. Can i get a job during and after my program ?
3. Can my family visit me?
Thanks

Don't know much about Bachelors but I'm very sure there are options regarding entrance examinations. Some schools requires SAT in lieu of the entrance exam and others might prefer English Language test score as the admission requirement.

OULU actually requires entrance exam

Kiitos

Brotherly OAMK requires entrance exam oh. You either do SAT or you sit for the entrance exam.
Also you don't need to take any English language exam because the SAT or the entrance exam will be used to test your English language proficiency. Personally I would advise you to take SAT but OAMK only receives your test results from College Board through post they dont collect electronic score report so be sure to do the test well in advance

People don't come around to ask questions anymore. Though most of the issues have been addressed at different times, however people should still ask questions that are bothering them

True tho, if possible peeps in Suomi already, please share your experiences.
The major problem is the appointment thingy, most havent been able to secure a dates and have deferred admits.

Hello House. So I now have three admission offers and all gave me tuition waivers; University of Oulu (75%), University of Lapland ( 80%) , Tampere University (100%). Which one should I accept? I also have an offer from the university of Gothenburg in Sweden but NO scholarship. Since there are better prospects of getting a job in Sweden, should I take it?
Lastly, please I would like to connect with someone who can put me through on how to apply for the Finnish RP. I don't want to make mistakes. Your assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is fine. I got admission into Metropolia university of Applied science in Finland. Resumption time is Oct 1st. So I need direction on visa application. And my study will last just a year because I am an exchange student.

1. I am an architect, a freelancer. I get most of my jobs on fiverr(online freelance). So, my source of fund isn't documented, no pay slip nothing. Just direct transfer from my clients or money exchanger.

Please how do I explain my source of income in this situation.

2. Can I book an appointment before I complete my online visa application?

3. Hope they won't mind if I drop lump sum into the account with proof of sales of property? For my statement of account.

I will be expecting feedbacks. Kindly help a brother in this hustle. My mind and soul is not in Nigeria anymore.

The links to the jobs can be printed as the evidence of the contract

Yes you can, start by booking an appointment first

3. Hope they won't mind if I drop lump sum into the account with proof of sales of property? For my statement of account.
Selling of properties isn't a good idea, the logic behind the rejection of selling properties is that what other property will you sell next time if you sell for every time you have such challenge. Rather find a means of spreading the money

I will be expecting feedbacks. Kindly help a brother in this hustle. My mind and soul is not in Nigeria anymore.

Thanks for the response.im using the sales of property as an excuse because I have just 2 weeks to start my visa application. Embassy might sense a foul play that I gathered the money from people. Not my personal fund.

How do I treat this please.

Maybe you can find someone to sponsor you and have the money sent to you instead

First things first, you won't be applying for a visa. What you will be applying for is RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR STUDIES and this is because you will be studying for at least a year. To get started on the process, you have to read up the process. I can safely asume you haven't read anything, if you have, you won't mention visa as it doesn't apply to you. Read and then come back to ask questions on what you dont understand. Let me give you a brief rundown.

Book an appointment via vfs...you have to send them a mail using a particular format
Complete your application in enterfinland and submit
Go for your vfs appointment, from there you'll be given a date for your interview to the embassy
Go for your interview and wait for a decision.
