yinqar:is there usually any visa requirements to transit through Johannesburg? |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by yinqar: 8:22pm On Jul 11, 2019 |
edkai: I don’t think that’s allowed. You’ll only be lodged during your stopover. By the way, who’s leaving on the 18th to Sydney via Lagos let’s move together |

Hello gurus in the house, Pls i need your candid advice on this issue. I am a phd student in Australia and i started my course some few months back. I am married but came alone without my husband with the hope of putting up a subsequent entrant visa as soon as i am settled. However, when I came here I got to know that its not easy as i tot. I got to know of some people (basically Indians) that have put up this same visa and those getting grants at the moment applied late august 2018 while refusal rate is about less say 20-30%. Anyway I approached a very reliable agent here in australia that has high success rate and asked him if i can put up a subsequent entrant for my spouse and his advice was: I might end up waiting for up to 6,7,8 months or even 1year. He advice i put up a visitor visa that if after they lodge it for me and he is granted that they will put up subsequent entrant here if he does not have no further stay condition . That he will be on a bridging visa here in Aussie until the outcome of his subsequent entrant. Tho he also made me to understand that he cant work while on visitor and bridging visa. My question to the house pls: do you know of anyone that has gone through similar route? Is the processing time for subsequent entrant different for different countries lets say india or nigeria Im sorry for the long epistle 2 Likes |

Good morning Gurus, Please, how do I show family ties with my Sponsor? What documents do I need to attach? |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by swaystunna(m): 2:36pm On Jul 12, 2019 |
E.g If ur sponsor is ur maternal aunt. U can likely present: NPC birth certificate of both ur mother and ur aunt; sworn affidavit of relationship by both you, your mother and aunt; international passport of ur aunt. joycie24: Yes Joycie Everything the agent said is peculiar to INDIAN VISA PROCESSORS. Nigeria's go to South Africa, I think it may be possible to process in Australia though. The last person who reported his success here got it in 6 months. Flip back and check for Leo's post. Yes it's being taking a long time, but it isn't as scary as the Indians and may it never be. One of the justifiable reasons for Indians case is that Indians have one of the highest population of Intl students in AU, unlike Naija. 2 Likes |

joycie24: Oh there! Like you rightly mentioned, spouse or dependent visa approval is going down hill by the day. I would suggest you follow what the agent advices. It's unlikely he will get a NFS condition on his visa provided he supports his application with strong ties after his visit. Peradventure if there was a NFS condition then he can visit, return back to 9ja and apply to join you. In most cases, the processing time is halved since he has visited before. This usually cost time and money but the final outcome is what matters. You can decide to give it a shot by bringing him in direct instead of going through the long route. Package your documents and hope for the best. You may be lucky to have a nice loving compassionate CO. Like I always say, no two cases are the same. My friend It's usually not easy but one thing we don't do is give up. Godspeed. |

Hi Guys Please advise me, I got a denial from Sunshine coast university this past February, Is it possible to reapply to another university like RMIT and Deakin? do I have to inform the school of the denial? or only embassy? I was denied because they said I did not show prosperity+ employment letter on completion of my studies. I was informed its clearly because of the schools rating in Immigration, that if I had applied to much higher school, the outcome would have been diffirent. Please advise. |

I think you can only apply to Level 1 Universities like RMIT, University of Melboure,UTAS etc and that's why you got rejected. Sure, you can re-apply to any Level 1 Uni. Gentletobi: |

Just to clarify about my earlier post of denial in sunshine coast university, I got the admission from the school and applied for Visa thereafter, and i got a rejection on February. I met another agent who informed me that my documents an profile are very good, that I should go for a higher like RMIT and Deakin. But am concern if such school will give me admission if I tell them i had a previous visa denial in February or do i conceal the information to the school and only inform the Embassy? Good Morning fellow Nairalanders. |

mustyy: Why do you want to do a PhD? What are your areas of research interests? A research is an inquiry into an unknown field.., what's the significance of your proposed research; how does it contribute to/add new knowledge in your field? You need to ask yourself these questions (there are a whole lot more) and develop a PhD research proposal. When you have a good proposal, then look up for professors who share similar research interests with you and send them your proposal and cv. If they show interest in your proposal and agree to supervise you, then you can proceed with the application and nominate them as your supervisor. If you get a professor, the chances of you getting admissions is up to 60%. So you see, no one can get a PhD admission for you. You have to do it yourself 5 Likes |
