Used FBN, was charged 13 Euro, 0.5% of the amount and vat,
Then I put beneficiary to bear charges else I could have paid another 40 euro

Oh! True!

The 'beneficiary to bear the charges' will be deducted from the €100 buffer funds. I did otherwise and was charged. I'll collect my money in Germany. Lol

Of course it will still be complete. That's the essence of the €100 buffer. You may choose to pay it from your Dom tho

How will beneficiary bear the charges? Won't it short the 8829 euros?

Remember 8640 is the main funds. 100 has been provided to cater for any charge.

Fintiba wrote it that you should make sure you bear all the charges. Pray they send you confirmation (if they take from your buffer)if not you would spend same amount sending the €40.

Of course, they'll send it.

Like how many days does it take Fintiba to send the confirmation after doing the transfer?

Hey Guys. I have a real issue right now. My main hope for an admission letter just went to ruins and I'm shaken. Its the University of Bremen. I applied for the Masters in Environmental Physics. It's non-restricted so I expected to get an AL because I have a Bsc in Physics degree. Now the rejection says I do not possess enough ECTS (less than 90) in Physics from my previous degree and that I can appeal the decision if they are wrong in less than one month. I want to believe the ECTS means the number of Credit points in Physics and from my calculation on my transcript, I have 110CP in Physics. Please, what does the ECTS mean and Please I would like to appeal it. Who has any idea about appealing and how likely is my appeal going to succeed.

Bro I had this same issue with passau when I applied for msc there in mobile and embedded systems. My b.eng degree was in electrical engineering, only for them to nack me rejection claiming I didn’t have up to 50ECTS computer science cp. after numerous mail correspondence with them I eventually sued them to court. But I don’t advise that you get to that level because in my case, what I was considering to be computer science courses were actually more of electrical/electronics engineering courses. Now my case is pending in the Bavarian court. And the problem is that if I lose the case I would be liable for both me and the university’s legal fees which at runs into ~ €5000. Immediately I saw that document I just boned the case, they sent me multiple emails to remind me about the case and update me but I just ignored them. I eventually got admission in a school in another state so I have no business with Passau again. basically ECTS credits are a measure of the work load of a student in a year, so basically a German student does ~ 30ECTS cp a semester and a total of 180ECTS in a 6 semester undergraduate program (210 for some 7 semester engineering programs). Thus in order to convert your credit system to their own, they either use the number of lecture hours per subject per week, or they use they use indirect estimates. The lecture hour system is not always the best because sometimes they may take a course and it would have 4 lecture hours per week and they’ll make it an 8 ECTS cp course, while you could do the same course in your Nigerian Bsc and it would be 3/4 units for you. The other system is by estimating the equivalent value of your credits by direct proportional multiplication in that, assuming you need 90 ECTS of a certain subject, they divide 90 by the 180 and multiply it by the total amount of the units of your undergraduate courses. Eg if you did a total of 170 units (all the units of all the courses of your Bsc combined) then you need 90/180*170 = 85 units of course that must be pure physics ( not mathematics or engineering or geology or any other elective that most Nigerian schools usually force their students to do because they are to lazy to update the syllabus). Either way, I advise you to send a detailed copy of your undergraduate syllabus. It should have the courses done, alongside their course contents ( topics covered in the course), so that if they mistook some physics courses on you transcripts for non physics course ( A very common mistake that leads to rejection on the grounds of lack of certain prerequisite courses) they could correct themselves.

Sorry if it is Bobo news....

I gain nothing by spreading panic....

Do what you will....

If one consulate has started enforcing it, isn't that a sign of things to come? smiley

Nigeria or not for Nigeria, everyone will be alright!

I think this proposed B.A increase from 1st September is for everyone. That's the web of their Foreign office. When you follow that link on their Nigerian website, it directs you to the exact same page too. https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/sperrkonto/388600 This isn't funny angry

However, this would affect only visa applications submitted from 1st September., 2019. I believe people who have blocked, as well as those with AD up till 31 August who would equally block, before that 1st September would be safe. That is, if what I understood, is what they actually mean. However, we need to contact the embassy to be sure.
