The best way to avoid Lagos traffic is to relocate out of Lagos or transfer your job or business to another city.

You can't beat Lagos traffic, the only way is to leave this City.
Most Lagosians starts their night sleep in traffic and ends it in traffic.
Terrible City I must say.

I hate Lagos State...and I don't even know the reason behind it.

The bustles and all...

PS- I hate Lagos state, NOT the people of Lagos state or the permanent residents.

PS- If you must reply me, put on your thinking cap, set aside emotions and reason like a human with BRAIN. THANK YOU.

A large majority of lagos roads are in very sorry state at the moment. Ikotun, Mushin, Ejigbo, Isolo, Ijegun, Ikorodu, Agege motor road are a shadow of themselves right now. Ambode didn't do well to rehabilitate those roads at all. Now Sanwo-Olu seems concerned only with Lagos Island.

Will be a long 4 years for Lagos state.

Re: Seven Ways To Beat, Survive Lagos Traffic by sleekman(m): 1:16pm On Jul 17, 2019
Always carry a knife or cutlass with you in your car. If you can afford it buy a stun gun and have these items readily available. Monitor passersby.
Monitor other cars around you.
Always listen to your music/radio on the low.
Avoid your cellphone/Smartphone because they can take your attention away.
Monitor your side and rear views constantly even while listening to music.
Always drive defensively. Give some allowance for maneuvering while you drive.
If you're in the habit of picking up strangers then visually scan your hikers or passengers. Especially monitor their bags and around their abdomen if they are concealing anything. If something looks suspicious inquire. If not satisfied ask to see the content, if you are met with a refusal then disembark the passenger.

Always wind your windows up,
especially at night and go with a MADE-IN-GERMANY Helmet.

Even if your AC does not work, wind up and leave just a little crack such that hands or
weapons cannot fit in.

It is better to sweat for some minutes or hours than to get robbed of your smartphone, hard-earned money or even your SKULL been MINED by those "HARD WORKING MINERS.
I experienced the snatch grab some weeks ago. My windows where down and some dude just banged my car on my side as I instinctively looked at him his partner picked my phone.

Smoothly done. Didn't even know phone was missing till later.

Anyway lesson learnt.
