what I know is that assuming I was in covenant university even without reading, my First class or second class upper is sure for me so far I've paid the necessary fees.
These their so called First class graduates have nothing upstairs and majority of them do fumble during interviews.
As an employer of labor I'll chose a 2:2 graduate of uniben over these dumb First class graduates of Covenant poo university

Are you normal? How can you say Uniben is overrated? To think that such statement stems from a discussion involving covenant, I need to ask if you're a graduate. Do you think there is any 1st class from Uniben, Unilag, Oau and other federal uni that wont bag a 1st in covenant? The same can't be said for CU first class students, a fact you know very well.


That poo about QS, webometric and whatever rating you highlighted is a component of several stuffs like functional laboratory, library, H.O.D on seat, excellent classrooms etc. It's not a function of good students. You better do your research before taking rubbish and exposing the pitfalls of being a CU student

Cool. The average UK university produces 400 - 800 First Class with percentages usually hovering around 25 - 45%. And that happens with all the clubbing and social distractions especially in City universities.

A Covenant with a very conservative Campus and a highly restrictive social environment only similar to that of Liberty University, USA should be able to produce about 500 first class graduates. More reinvestment should be made into bringing down the Student - Staff ratio, better pedagogy should be employed. Teaching aid should be thoroughly improved.

It is not as if there aren't intelligent students over there,there are many but disgruntled lecturers who are demigod wouldn't let their students shine. Only few persons scale through the hurdle of making first class while others settle for 2.1, and 2.2 respectively. I remember a guy complained bitterly how he got 4.49 from that same institution. Other students complained how their grades were reduced in other for them not to make it. Now tell me if it is ethically or morally right to do so?. These are students that are brilliant yet some departments thought it wise which is foolish to reduce their student's mark

Actually there are some covenant university graduate that I have seen that are still job hunting but it can't be compared with those from public universities.

Let me correct you on this misconception many Nigerians have about private university students. Yes many of their students are from wealthy homes however not all of them. Many parents struggle to send their kids there because they know they would graduate at the stipulated time unlike our public universities that experiences incessant strikes from academicians. Aren't you surprised that most job placement peg age requirement not less than 25,26 or 27 years? I do know of few persons that are on scholarship in some of these private universities. If you don't go there to see things you would hold on to this belief of yours.

Its not about that I remember one economic summit my dept hosted and students from other uni attended including private uni.
Those guys knows fall my hand when we started breaking and analysing Nigerian economy
